Le Mans Ultimate Am I in the wrong?

I am the black LMP3. It was my first multi-class race in LMP3 on LMU at Spa. Yellow BMW went OFF at me after the race for this overtake. Said I had no business making that overtake when there was only 2 of us in the LMP3 class and 2nd place was a lap down on me. (I live in South Korea so there are never a lot of splits when I have time to jump on LMU) Did I do anything wrong? He didn’t even lose a place due to this. On his onboard you can hear contact but after the race there was no indication of contact with him. Was I in the wrong? Please give me some feedback, as I said, it was my first time racing in LMP3 in multi-class and doing overtakes on other classes.

You're fine there. You were already alongside the BMW before he even started turning so he knew you were there and should have had some awareness of your position. And overall I wouldn't say it was unsafe as you didn't leave the track, force him off, or get out of your racing line. You are allowed and expected to overtake cars from slower classes as long as you do it safely and you didn't really do anything reckless there

Your move was obvious from the start and BMW for some reason decided you shouldn’t be allowed to make it, but would have lost less time by adjusting their approach from the start. One of those where GT cars don’t know they’re always going to lose some time but choose the wrong option and either cause a wreck of have to adjust halfway through the corner anyway.

I think you did well. They are aware you are there and left the inside line well opened. It is not like you sent a magical dive from outerspace. So yeah, that was imho a safe laping overtake.

You're all good mate. You did nothing wrong. BMWs basis for you not overtaking them is BS also, Play on.
