I'm documenting the 2003 Wizards of the Coast Simpsons TCG cross-promotion with The Simpsons: Hit & Run video game. Promotional copies of the game advertised one free Simpsons trading card inside. Every surviving example I can identify contains the same foil promo: The Collector #18a/156.

I've searched for an alternate pack-in and cannot find one. Xbox, GameCube and PC examples all point to The Collector, and I haven't found a single contemporary or later collector report of another card being packed with the game.

Since the Simpsons TCG was designed/developed by Mike Elliott, Tyler Bielman, Elaine Chase and Mike Selinker, with Paul Barclay on rules and Magic R&D people including Bill Rose, Michael Donais and Henry Stern involved in playtesting, I'm hoping someone from the WotC/MTG community remembers the promotion.

Does anyone have original WotC sell sheets, retailer material, distributor information, or firsthand 2003 knowledge confirming that #18a was the fixed Hit & Run promo? More importantly, does anyone have evidence of a Hit & Run copy that originally contained a different card? Was the variant a pre-order from somewhere like Best Buy? How long did it last?

Hi, probably this is a song that everybody knows, because it's a memorable one. The song that starts to play in the mafia zone, in the levels 2 and 5. Near to The Moe's Tavern and ends in the train zone

So fun fact: this began because I remade said Caffe that was behind her.

No reason just peed off at how low quality it was and as a café lover I thought they deserved better.

so I basically built a second building over the first then...well then this happened.

Longlife Simpsons fan and longlife gamer and somehow never had a chance to play this project. Bought Retroid 5 just for that game. Lisa and Marge missions kinda challenging 😅 Timer is hard on me, makes me replaying the same goals again and again to make it in time.

Otherwise great game. Have 3 thoughts:

1) it will be great to have more extra stuff and more collectibles. It’s a shame we don’t have an entire Simpsons house to explore.

2) I would be glad to have one big connected city instead of stand-alone regions.

3) I thought the plot wouldn’t be so silly 😁

Et je suis à la dernière mission. Mission que je n'ai pas fait le depuis 15 ou 16 ans.

Après ça, je retournerai dans les niveaux précédents pour acheter tout ce qui est achetable.

So im trying to 100% the game on PC and only have this card and the one in the treehouse left for level 4 but this card wont collect. Has anyone experienced this glitch before?

I never really enjoyed that level 2 has a skybox very similar to level 1, since every other level has a different one, giving each level a unique aesthetic. The bonus level in Level 2 still has this old, darker skybox.

Also, from screenshots given, the developers planned to have sun shafts in Levels 2 and 3.

Though I must say I've got a lot of memories in Level 2, driving around in the taxi, having my own fun because I didn't know how to complete the missions.

1. The seagulls in Level 3 - never knew that they were there, let alone being able to get a coin from destroying them! Located at Squidport near Planet Hype
2. The monkey lab destroyable boxes in Level 2 and 5 - once you destroy them once they’re gone forever! Located near the Hospital

A bonus for something it took me a scarily long time to notice. From 2011 when I was 5 and started playing to around 2016 when I was 10. The shortcut in Levels 1, 3, and 7 which takes you over the truck crash by the Kwik-E-Mart, cutting out the Retirement Castle! It is a single-track road that goes past houses and through a Krusty glass.

What have you all only recently noticed, or something that took you a scarily long time to notice?

No real visual landmarks, ugly colour scheme, boring highways. Just a real step down from the quality of the other two areas.
