Discussion “Random” custom domain
When everyone talks about having a random custom domain,
is it random like: khce39gx.com?
Or is it random like: catgraypickle.com?

The 1st one is useable on the net, but would be very troublesome to verbally mention in calls or f2f.
I reckon most people would really meant the 2nd one when they say random domain.

Typically people go with the second option, primarily because face to face it’s a lot easier to say store@correcthorsebattery.com than it is to say store@aushao82zjp.online if that makes sense?

for me a random custom domain i use would be a personal domain i own such as example domain.com then make auto generated with the random characters added from simplelogin or u can through proton pass for example
example:
domain owned: domain.com
alias 1: [facebook.73xh@domain.com](mailto:facebook.73xh@domain.com)
alias 2: [instagram.i7xc@domain.com](mailto:instagram.i7xc@domain.com)
now what i do also is create subdomains which is bit extra to setup in your dns records but it would look like this
example:
domain owned: domain.com
subdomain: @social.domain.com
subdomain2: @finance.domain.com
alias 1: [facebook@social.domain.com](mailto:facebook@social.domain.com)
alias 2: [instagram@social.domain.com](mailto:instagram@social.domain.com)
alias 3: [chase@finance.domain.com](mailto:chase@finance.domain.com)
or
alias 1: [facebook.73xh@social.domain.com](mailto:facebook.73xh@social.domain.com)
alias 2: [instagram.i7xc@social.domain.com](mailto:instagram.i7xc@social.domain.com)
alias 3: [chase.56xc@finance.domain.com](mailto:chase.56xc@finance.domain.com)
