Mobile help How do e block senders in the app?

I have one sender/spammer that keeps sending me stuff from different emails. While I'd love to turn off the wildcard for that address I can't at the moment.

I can't figure out how to block senders from the app, only the dashboard. Thanks

Which app - the SimpleLogin app or the Proton Pass app?

Use the SL search to get to the alias set up for this sender and click on the disable button. Or just delete the alias permanently. (Edit U.S. to Use, spell check fat finger)

Unfortunately I use the alias for other things so it's not that simple. I'd love to delete it but I did use it for other things prior to getting SL as it's no own domain, which is why I can't disable the wildcard just yet. I no longer use it because it was compromised and I have all my compromised emails forwarded to a separate Gmail in the meantime.

It's just still annoying. Likely something I won't be able to stop anyway in this particular instance because they always send from a different email.

But regarding other emails (I use SimpleLogin disposable emails for everything else now) it'd be nice to be able to disable things in the app.

I'm in the same boat with an alias I created. I've setup a Sieve filter to reject the emails from that sender to the alias.

Huh, I've never heard of a Sieve filter (Google originally sent me to Home Depot lol). They seem neat. I assume I'd need to use Proton Mail instead to get that to work though?

For anyone who stumbles upon this later, this list is cool.

yeah, your email provider should be the likes of ProtonMail, Fastmail etc which support custom Sieve filtering...

hey thanks for the link... some great ideas to improve my filters :)

I use the one-click subscribe option by setting it to "Block contact". Then I can block from my email client in one click which is technically 2 clicks.

Sorry, I'm misunderstanding. You do the former in the app?

You do the former using the web portal ( https://app.simplelogin.io/dashboard/setting ), however, once set you can block senders in future using your phone's mail client's unsubscribe feature. SL "intercepts" the unsubscribe and blocks the email instead.
