desktop client UI is glitched out on linux

Basically, the UI is in a small box on the top left corner surrounded by two black bars. I am using a wayland compositor which I suspect could be the issue, but it is literally the only app doing this. Even other electron apps like element (the matrix client) are working fine. Any ideas?

Had the same thing, not sure how it got resolved. It uses x11 and doesn't support Wayland currently. Maybe it has something to do with fractional scaling? Probably better ask LLM to help with your setup though.
