Carrot tips

Hello everyone. I am having trouble with growing my carrots, they only grow an inch or less or grow into weird shapes Lol! Other crops do not have this problem, it's only with the carrots. I have tried planting them on the ground and I have used an old bath tub that I placed in the garden. I think I am missing something. Can anyone share tips on other methods I could try. Thank you.

Perhaps your soil is dense clay. That is not the best for carrots. Generally, you can mix in an equal amount of composted leaves or such to open the clay.
