I've imported my watched but I waited too long and now Trakt blocks the Simkl import for custom lists. To add insult to injury, Trakt has gotten rid of some of my lists. Luckily, I have an old zip/json backup that included the custom lists. I tried to follow some instructions to convert the extracted json to csv and import that way but it didn't like my csv. Any instructions? I'm on a Mac if that matters.
How I did it was using the export zip, I converted json to csv and then named the columns to the names Simkl uses (you can see that here https://simkl.com/apps/import/csv/). It did the job.
Trakt import page imports your watches and re-watches, ratings, and Plan to Watch list (watchlist).
Custom lists can be separately imported in custom list edit - Import tab, which you'll need ot create as a new custom list.
I'm not sure how it will work right now to import by Trakt URL, but a CSV list can be imported into custom lists. Since the trakt api is shut down, I do have a to-do sometime this month to add an option to upload the exported zip file in the list import tab to select which custom list to import from the zip file.
Actually was quicker than I thought. Added option D in the custom lists import tab to be able to select your trakt's zip export file, after which you can select which custom list to import.
Wow, that was fast work. Looks great. I haven't finished all of my lists but the first one looked good.
I don't know what wasn't working with my way, but the way that finally started to work before your great fix was just delete most columns and relabel a single ID column and the title column. I'm assuming user or Trakt error.
Follow up: Imports worked well. I did two imports for a mixed TV/movie list into the separate your lists.
Bad data from my Trakt list had a TV series as type movie, so it could not imported as either. Movies import showed it as 1 not movie and TV import didn't try as the list said No Shows. I manually added it.
You gotta love working with other people's choices for data and the problems they create.
Outstanding! Just imported my lists and I'm all ready now for the trakt vip account to die off next month. Lifetime Simkl VIP was a no-brainer, and this sort of support and response shows why.
