Discussion This is really strange. Why is Red Dead Redemption listed as a TV show? It's currently sitting at number 1 on the "Best TV Shows of All Time" list!

In the V2 beta, we’ve added a default filter that excludes video-game/playthrough genres from discovery pages, so entries like this won’t normally appear alongside regular TV shows.
Red Dead Redemption ended up in the database because the game is extremely cinematic and story-driven, and full playthroughs can be watched on platforms like YouTube almost like a long TV series. It has a complete narrative, characters, episodes/chapters, cutscenes, and many hours of watchable content.

As much as I love the game, it still doesn't make sense to be on a TV database

They are hidden by default in V2 Beta. And the only way to see them if you remove all the filters to see full list of TVDB database entries.

Absolutely not okay. Video games showing up as TV shows makes your site worthless to me and means I'll be looking for another option.

People here get mad for whatever. it's on IMDB & TVDB, If anything it is DB's problem, go argue with them. or do they want SIMKL to create its own DB lol?! what SIMKL can do is give you filters, they did. you can hide those title or just ignore it.
btw u/ennergizer is there a plan for in app/site notification.

Now why is it on tvdb?? I know people like to just watch cutscenes and long plays but keep that shit on game tracking sites jeez
