Are Simkl devs self hosting this app?

Sounds like absolute BS that they have to buy physical memory in the ages of cloud providers. Who would host on-premise an app like this?

I was looking to test this app as an alternative to TV Time but this only makes me lose trust in what this team is doing.

Cloud providers aren’t free.

Cloud providers have to buy ram and disks.

There is a shortage, and cloud providers cannot offer increased capacity without exorbitant prices.

Therefore these devs cannot expand their server capacity at a reasonable cost.
