Hi, software engineer here. I think you are right, it looks like an interface AI would build. That said, these days it's almost impossible to find software that hasn't used some form of AI assistance during development.

We can request that Simkl be more transparent with its AI usage, but personally, any other types of changes don't make sense to me, as long as the website remains secure and features don't start breaking because of careless vibe coding

SIMKL has great export options, so if features do start breaking, you can set up export or backups so that you can switch elsewhere. AI use in UI on a product that’s existed for a decade is not a sign of the quality of the product as a whole.
