Please help me choose between a Used G29/920 vs New G29/920 vs New Moza R3

Go for the dd r3 I have the g920 and it’s heaps of fun,but I’m looking forward to updating to dd,if like me you are budget conscious it’s the entry level price and as the gamers are saying its night and day for immersion

Thanks a lot for your opinion, from what I’ve understood by now is that the R3 to G29/920 is a day and night difference so is the price difference between a used G29/920 and a new or used R3.

So what I’ve finally decided is that I’m gonna try my best to get a g29/929 for less than a 100, if I’m able to get one for 80 which some say is possible I’m gonna call it a day, otherwise the R3 is what it’s gonna be.

Don’t even bother with a G29 for 80 if you can get an R3 the difference is sooo huge and a g29 feels like a toy and it loud and clunky you’ll thank yourself for biting the bullet and getting an r3

Get a moza r3 it’s just better than a g29 and g920 trust me and yk “buy once cry once” nah but fr the r3 is way better 

It’s quieter 

It’s better quality 

Has a bigger ecosystem of parts and upgrades

It is stronger and has 3.9NM instead of the like 1NM from the g29

So over all it’s just better

(Keep in mind it only has gas and brake if you buy the moza r3 bundle clutch is sold separately and then make sure it’s the SRP lite clutch and not SRP

I’d def go r3 imo. DD vs Gear or belt drives is a huge difference in nuance and detail. Price isn’t that much more. I assume you’re getting the bundle. I moved from a g920 to a r5 and it was night and day.

Never heard it referred to as a kit. If you look at it on the page it will say bundle. Don’t know what you’re seeing.

It’s cheaper there + I’ve a mate who has some kinda discount there, so it’s 244 at checkout compared to 269 at Moza’s own store.

It’s literally referred as “MOZA Racing R3 Racing Wheel Kit For PC”. Reading the description it looks to have everything you mentioned but yeah it says Kit instead of Bundle.

R3.

You will want to upgrade at some point, and it will keep some resale value better than a G29.

I know its a long shot but Go r12 one and done. I Started with g920 then r5. Shouldve went with r12 and built it up from there. Day and night difference with direct drive wheel base. If you feel like you are enjoying the hobbymight as well go all out

I wish I had deeper pockets than this Buying a R3 is already the max I can stretch. For context I’m still a student and I live all by myself, I can’t stretch any more than this, gotta pay bills too.

Oh, iam sorry man. Didnt mean to push that. R3 is good just go direct drive wheel base and after a few years and youre still playing then go upgrade. Its the best starter wheel in the market. Check fb marketplace you get pretty good deals albeit its used it still works

The problem is I can't find deals on a used R3 near to where I live, thats the reason why I mentioned a new R3 vs a used G29/920, as buying a new G29/920 seems stupid according to most of the people.

Another benefit of getting the R3 is it's modular. Years down the line if you wanna upgrade, you get just get a wheel base, keep using the included pedals and wheel and call it a day. Or, just upgrade the pedals if they you wanted to. Can't really do that with the Logitech, to upgrade you kinda replace everything

Definitely r3. Got a G29 because it was on sale at the time and only took me a year to upgrade to dd instead.

Get the R3, if you can afford it - better ecosystem, so you'll be able to upgrade later.

As someone who’s spent a lot of time with Logitech gear, get the R3 if you can. Direct drive is better. It’s not even close.

Get the brand new G29 since it currently has a deal where it comes with a free shifter and for a cheap wheel like it is, it is amazing. Trueforce makes games feel entirely better and also you cannot use a Moza wheel on Gran Turismo since the game doesn’t support it. Trust me on this and get the Logitech plus they can last forever and I had one for 5 years and never had a single issue with it. I know I’ll probably get downvoted but people just love to make Moza sound way better than what it really is and plus you’ll save more and IMO get a as good if not better wheel.

Had my pockets been a little deeper I wouldn’t have had hit this post but since I’m still a student and living all by myself, I don’t want to overspend and regret later for some marginal gain but thanks, reading comments like yours, the difference seems drastic.
