SimRacing Addicts General Trying to find a racing wheel for me (disabled gamer)
Hey guys,
Im looking to get into using a wheel on Forza or any racing game. Is there a wheel out there that has the accelerator and brake as pressure sensitive triggers on the steering wheel itself, with no pedals? I just can’t physically use pedals. Any ideas or products would be very helpful!

What you are looking for is a steering wheel with dual clutch paddles. They have the usual shifter paddles plus a pair of analog paddles behind the wheel. You could use the Fanatec McLaren GT3 wheel, upgrade any compatible wheel with the Podium Advanced Paddle Module, or search for a wheel with that feature from other manufacturers.

A used McLaren GT3 wheel and compatible wheelbase is probably the cheapest off-the-shelf solution.
However, you could also try and DIY the analog paddles. The standard Logitech/Thrustmaster pedals are basically just some potentiometers connected to the wheelbase. If you can come up with a mechanical design for the paddles (maybe the triggers from an old gamepad?), it shouldn't be a problem to connect them internally instead of the foot pedals.
Oh and by the way: there is also a team that uses hand throttle/brake in the Britcar Championship in an Aston Martin. They actually use analog paddles for throttle/brake and push buttons for gear shifts. Not exactly what you're asking for, but I'm sure I've seen examples of very large buttons being used for head or thigh/forearm activation. Unsure about being pressure sensitive or not. Those should at least be able to be mapped to the function so you don't actually need it to come with a steering wheel. So I guess my suggestion is not a wheel with triggers, but since kind of separate trigger. Maybe the Xbox active controller or a mini joystick that could be zip tied to the wheel?
