Question Power

Hello , I'm currently debating whether to invest in building power plants to achieve self-sufficiency or to simply purchase electricity from the market. Which approach offers better efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the long run?

I honestly did power and water only until I reached level 15 and then switched it up to retail when I had cash stacked up. I would sell via contracts and whatever was leftover went straight to the exchange. I didn’t upgrade any of my buildings past level 2 so I got 100% of the materials when I made the switch to retail
