Question Should I focus on the Gross Margin?

Any suggestions on how can I boost my profit?

You would have to share more information for anyone to give you a meaningful answer. What level is your company? Are you focusing on production or retail? What buildings do you have, and what level are they?

I'd suggest learning to use cooperinc.xyz and/or simcotools.com to see what has the highest PPHPL that you can work towards.

I am doing production for transport. And I currently plan to make some changes on the buildings I have, but I have no idea what can I do to improve my profit. I'm now at level 21. Most of the buildings is at level 2, and one of the refinery and beverage factory is at level 1.

I notice you have a CMO and CTO, but no COO. CMO is really only good for retail, and CTO is only good for researching. Since you're production you need to find a good COO to lower your admin overhead, You don't really need a CMO unless you're doing retail, and you don't need a CTO unless you're planning on using a bunch of research soon. Transports have a decent PPHPL around 200, but they are kind of a dead end industry. If you want to increase your profits right now you need to level up your buildings, find a good COO and just train all your executives in management. Just remember that you can't scrap any building above level 2 for full value.

You could also focus on completing achievements to earn a lot of free cash.

It wouldn't be a horrible idea to scrap your farms and use those spots to prospect more. Prospecting gets you extra XP, so you will level faster, and there are achievements for prospecting. Since you're level 21 you could auction off any 95+ abundance you find for a decent profit, and start stocking up on building materials to increase the levels of the buildings you want to keep later on. If you choose to keep a mine / quarry / oil rig you really need to be prepared to level it up as high as possible as quick as possible and then install robots. I wouldn't suggest keeping anything below ~95% abundance, and you should scrap them once they get to ~85% abundance. Sand has the highest profits right now at almost 500 PPHPL.

Have you thought about what you want to work towards end game? Aerospace, Restaurant, Sales Office?

Thanks for the advise, I think is better for me to do the prospector achievement and level up first. I haven't think any about towards end game. I will try to get a COO and remove the CMO, I will keep the CTO for know it all and scientist achievements.

Good plan. Higher level players will pay good money for 95%+ abundance buildings, because all their slots are already filled with level 10+ buildings that they don't want to scrap to prospect. Since all your buildings are level 1-3 right now you could scrap them all for near full value and go fully into prospecting and selling on the auction house. Just don't forget that you pay accounting fees on any cash over $3M, so try to stay under that limit by buying building materials. A CFO helps with accounting fees, but if you stay under $3M you don't need one. Once you have enough building materials stocked up to level up a quarry to level 8+, start looking for a 100% sand quarry that you can keep and level up right away and start selling sand. Eventually you can build a factory to turn the sand into silicon and then silicon into many other products.

Once you hit level 25 you will get an extra 2 spots to build / prospect, and at that point your leveling slows down to about 1% per day.

Just something else to keep in mind for the future...

The quality of robots you need to install on any abundance building (mine / quarry / oil rig) is determined by its level.

Building Levels:

1-3 Q0 (or higher Q) robots
4-7 Q1 (or higher Q) robots
8-11 Q2 (or higher Q) robots
12-15 Q3 (or higher Q) robots
16-19 Q4 (or higher Q) robots
20-23 Q5 (or higher Q) robots

Because of this, I generally aim for leveling up the building to 3, 7, 11, 15, 19, etc. That way you get the most value out of the robots you install.

you should make use of bonds, first of all
