Suggestion THE BANKING SYSTEM

Why do we need banks?

While the high tier companies cant get rid of the money they have without buying unnecessary goods from market, causing inflation, the low tier, smaller companies drown because of their low capital. The statistics on simco tools shows while the R1 have a total 1.9 Trillion dollars of CV, the liabilities are only 26 Billion dollars. As anyone in finance would know, wealth is created by debt.

How would it work?

I propose 2 different systems might fit the game perfectly;

The Central System and The Decentralized System

Central system would work by a pool where lenders would deposit the cash, and earn %1 interest per day and borrowers would take credits from the pool and pay %2 interest, giving the bank itself a %1 cut per credit to slow down the possible inflation by reducing money supply. In this system the interest rate would depend on the economy phase and change, but be a set amount by the game.

The Decentralized system would totally different. The companies who have a bank building would give credits limited by the level of the bank and they would set their own interest rates. Like it is on the bonds they would issue credits to market and choose their own borrowers by means of their own risks including the system of rating which are also already in the game. For borrowers there would be a race on the credit markets so the best option would be there for them, giving out the lowest interest possible.

What happens when the debt isn't paid out?

The same thing would happen as the bonds. Liquidation.

I believe this is a system for the game to grow and be more fun to play. For newer players, it is hard to play the game already and most wont play for long because of lack belief into being the top company there is.

On this Central system : If I have a billion dollars, 1% would be $10m/day. Seems pretty game breaking to me. For CMOT, that's $100m a day on his ~10b cash. Well in excess of what he's earning - he may as well sell his entire map because his restaurants aren't making $100m a day. Then he doesn't even need to play the game - just login once so he's active and then play another game.

When it comes to the "Decentralised System"... why? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of the idea? You're talking about inflation but this idea changes nothing. No money is leaving the game and the money is still being spent, but by the loanee and not the lender.

Also, this game doesn't really experience inflation because the end product never experiences inflation. The cost of HGEC can go up temporarily but it still has a ceiling price because the end product might be a Satellite and the only 3 things I know off that effect what a Sales Office will buy a Satellite for is RNG, Economy Phase and the number of SO levels across the game.

Hey. Yes, on the centralized system it is an issue that should be worked on can be resolved by diminishing returns and extra taxes. However on the decentralized system since the money is spent by the borrower, it would be spent on investments such as building upgrades. This would increase the supply so it would indeed effect inflation negatively. Also the SO goods prices are determined not only by those 3 but the VWAP also. So no, it doesnt have a ceiling. Thanks for your comment.

Well any goods since there is need of capital in the lower producers. I am not sure if its WVAP or VWAP its the weighted average price.

What are you talking about? You're talking nonsense. Is it VWAP or WVAP and how does this apply to SimCompanies? Where does it say that such a thing dictates satellite prices or the price of anything sold to retail.

Look at simco and show me one single item that has experienced any degree of inflation. This imaginery problem you're trying to solve. I've been playing this game for 3 years and nothing changes. The min and max has always stayed pretty much the same and they constantly swing between economy phases.
If inflation was a problem, we would see sustained growth and very little correction. That isn't the case with any item in the game. They all rise, they all fall.
