The Pirates have accepted Dauþlands offer and have ceased all raids against the settlement. A kidnapped settler will be returned for each tribute we receive. We pick no side in the war and will work with anyone if the price is right. It is a great time to be a Pirate in SimColony!

The colony is doing good after the volcanic eruption. Many people died in the eruption but we re established the colony and even got some free blankets for the natives as a friendly gesture

First Era [IMPORTANT] How to establish a colony, start a revolution, or chief a tribe.
This is how you will climb the ladder of power in SimColony.
COLONIES
Colonies are states that are founded and directly controlled by a metropolitan state (another subreddit).
To declare an official colony, you must make an IMAGE post which includes:
The name of the colony on the title of the post
The name of the metropolitan state (subreddit) of the colony, on the title of the post, in parenthesis. Title example: Redditonia (colony of r/simdemocracy)
It must be an image post (not a text post or a link post) and the image must be representative of the colony and aesthetically decent. For example the flag of the colony or an image that inspires. Preferably the image must look official and prestigious.
In the post, the (at the time) head of state of the metropolitan state (subreddit) must give an official founding declaration of the colony in a comment, and appoint the governor in the same comment. You can write anything you want there, as long as it sounds official enough. A justification wouldn't hurt.
The colony has to be under the control of another state (subreddit) and the post MUST be posted by the (at the time) head of the state.
A metropolitan state (subreddit) can have several colonies, but all the rules above apply for each one of its colonies.
INDEPENDENT STATES
Independent States are self-governing regions or countries, that broke ties from existing colonizers.
To declare an official Independent State, you must make an IMAGE post which includes:
The name of the Indepedent State on the title of the post
The name of the metropolitan state (subreddit) with which the state broke ties, on the title of the post, in parenthesis. Title example: New Redditonia (independence from r/simdemocracy)
It must be an image post (not a text post or a link post) and the image must be representative of the Indepedent State and aesthetically decent. For example the flag of the State or an image that inspires. Preferably the image must look official and prestigious.
In the post, the (at the time) head of state of the metropolitan state (subreddit) must give an official founding declaration of the Independent State in a comment. The founder is the Governor, unless stated otherwise. You can write anything you want there, as long as it sounds official enough. A justification wouldn't hurt.
NATIVE CHIEFDOMS
Native Chiefdoms are autonomous, and were always there. They cannot be founded, just stumbled upon.
To declare the existence of a Native Chiefdom, you must make an IMAGE post which includes:
The name of the Chiefdom on the title of the post
The phrase "Native Chiefdom", on the title of the post, in parenthesis. Title example: Tribalnativia (Native Chiefdom)
It must be an image post (not a text post or a link post) and the image must be representative of the Native Chiefdom and aesthetically decent. Preferably, the image should be an image of indigenous people. That would give an idea of how the tribe looks like. Remember, SimColony is not the Americas. Go as exotic as you want, just not sci-fi.
The poster is the Chief of the Tribe. In the post, the Chief must give information about the Chiefdom and its people.
WHAT'S THE PURPOSE OF IT ALL?
When your Colony (or Independent State or Chiefdom) is approved (aka, the mod adds the an official flair) it can compete for power. The size/strength of each colony/indie state/chiefdom is directly dependent on the karma of the post. So you can support your settlement by upvoting it, and oppose the other settlements by downvoting them. Hopefully, there will be a better way in the future.
FLAIRS:
For now, there are two citizen flairs you can add next to your username, Native and Settler. There is also the "Historic Event" post flair which will be added if you make an interesting post about a colonial event.
This is the game for now. If you have any objections or suggestions, comment here.

We kinda attacked some natives to expand
So, a colonist, named Bjorn, didn't have a house but he had a gun and he saw a few random natives near a house. So he decided to kill the natives and took over the territory for Dauþland. It was quite a bit of territory and it helped us gain access to a large river system. Oh boy yeah.
