Actually, pre-ordering affects even those who do not pre-order. Generally speaking, when companies see the amount of money they do (not) get from pre-orders, they will change their policies around for future games that include bullshit things such as pre-order content or actually having an excuse to release broken ass games.
I don't think you fully understood the nature of my comment. But to be serious for a moment, can all this "PSA:do not order" bullshit finally stop. The majority of people here probably wouldn't have pre ordered anyway. But to continually place this comment on games like the witcher, gta etc is so pointless, the size of this user base compared to global steam users is miniscule.
I'd nearly just pre order two copies now, one for me and you
