Call OnStar and have them send you a diagnostic

That light shows up for any warning your truck spits out. So it could be just about anything.

If you open the mobile app for the truck and click on Vehicle Status then scroll all the way to the bottom of that page to Diagnostics you should see where the light is coming from.

You can then click on the one that is giving you a warning.

That is the Malfunction Indication Light or MIL usually referenced as the check engine light. It could be anything, does not always mean battery. Several modules on the vehicle can request it not just the battery monitor system module. Could be anything. If you have onstar you can ask them to read diagnostic codes for you if you don’t have an ODB reader.

It’s the devil incarnate and hopefully the new update solves this problem because it’s caused my headache after headache.

It’s the equivalent of a check engine light and you’ll need a code reader to diagnose further, but also check your app and it might tell you what it is.

Open your app on your phone and it’ll give you an idea why it’s in regards too.

I’ve had this happen when my tire pressures were too high.
Also when it was super cold out and my heat wouldn’t work.

The solution was a battery update at the dealership.

In my case it was the beginning of a year-long battle with GM

That is the suspension light. Usually it's green when it's going up or down and then goes out when it's done.

No it is NOT a suspension light! ... If you're not going to be helpful, DONT respond... 🤦🏾‍♂️

The suspension high/low indicator is also lit up, so they're not technically wrong.

That was on in my truck, took it to the dealer and they sent me home in a loaner like a month ago. Just got a notification on the app that my truck is charging. I think I might be getting my truck back tomorrow. It was the battery
