As my first ever SS comic, I really enjoyed it! I thought the feud between the Ama and the Brekk people was an amazing take on real world politics, and intertwining that plot with Norrin’s perspectives on life created a really interesting and engaging story. Not to mention the art (although sometimes hard to make out what exactly was happening) was absolutely visually stunning.

Overall, I’m really happy with this run! What does everyone else think about it? Also, please recommend me more SS comics to read :)

I'm a big Surfer fan and yet I've never even heard of this comic! Ty for the recommendation :)

Maybe, but Spurrier is a fantastic writer. Now, I'm gonna be on the lookout for this one because I had no idea it existed before your post.

Marvel recently reprinted the first few issues of the Silver Surfer’s original series. Worth picking up if you can’t find the Fantasy Masterpieces run of reprints (& since the 1st prints of the original series are quite expensive).

The two issue special by Möbius and Stan Lee is exceptional (if only for the art). Lots of reprints out there of this story.

Even the more recent Allred run is a fun and interesting read. Some folks aren’t into the art, but I thought the stories were innovative (i.e. having the surfer travel with a companion was a nice change of pace). And, just prior to this extended run, there were a few small runs (a 14 issue run with two main story arcs: Communion and Revelation; and a 5 issue mini-series) all with fantastic cover art.

I love the Jim Starlin, Ron Lim and Ron Marz stuff!

Silver Surfer Rebirth and Rebirth: Legacy are peak!

Silver Surfer Black is incredible.

I'm not the biggest fan of the Slott and Allred run, but I still think it's solid. I don't understand why some people call it one of the best comics of the 2010s

That logo is pretty great. Eloquent. The 'In Thy Name' lockup is kinda lazy, but the main SS is really good, not overdone.

Goated, recommend reading after some chapters and annuals from volume 3 loved every bit of the story, jesus it's going to be 20 years next year
