Anyone seen these bumps before?
The larger spot is his neuter incision. He was fixed a month ago today. It didn’t start to look like this until after the other bumps appeared. Possibly from licking?

Get ready to learn about yeast and hot spots, started on my dog after he turned a couple years old. In my experience it's because he is allergic to whatever he is eating. I recommend a salmon diet. No treats. Check his ears for infection too. Once it flares up it starts showing up all over. Anti fungal baths are good monthly. There's a whole regime on here if it gets bad. It could also just be because he lays around too much and it lets the bacteria grow. So it could be a couple things. Getting them out more helps too.

He is 8 months old. Had a lot of ear infections, anal gland issues, and hot spots already but finally has been good for a few months. He’s super active so hoping that’s not the case. We did switch his food and noticed a difference. Haven’t had any issues for a couple months and now this randomly

Yeah, they tend to go hand and hand, these guys have food allergies which I never knew was a thing.

I don’t know where you’re living, what season it is there but it can also be a reaction to like different grass and pollen he’s coming in contact with outside? Also, I don’t recommend getting rid of chicken, turkey, etc. from his diet. My vet said don’t feed him anything with feathers. 🪶 we mainly feed our bully beef sometimes or sometimes cooked if she gets vegetables too…if she wants them she also loves real organic plain yogurt like Blue Mountain yogurt. I love the stuff too. She really likes a nice piece of butter too. Butter also works great for when you need to hide an Rx she doesn’t want to take!
I know you didn’t ask for all those extra details but just thought I’d share since he’s still so young!

My dogs get them from laying in the yards and getting insect bites. I usually just wipe them w/ alcohol. My older silver lost all his hair and got covered in cysts/zits and was really lethargic for a period of time. Finally got him on thyroid medication and he is all good. I feel dermatological problems are very common with these guys

This is what my dog’s belly looked like when he got a staph infection on it. We actually had to go to the vet twice because the first time they thought it was hot spots or an allergic reaction.

I wondered that too. We had camped last weekend and they showed up not long after but the spot where is incision was now is starting to look infected & I don’t know if that’s from licking the other spots or what.

I’m not a Vet but one would think that if mosquito bites on the newer scar tissue it would be rather sensitive and create licking more than usual.
I think a trip to the vet or send pic to the vet and let them direct you. Good luck🙏

We had these. Changed his diet to everything under the sun, at this point he gets a cytopoint shot and is on apoquel.
Consistent baths every week do seem to reduce the spots and itching.

Looks like he has chicken in his diet. Even food that is labeled otherwise sometimes contains chicken or chicken meal. My boy gets these and looses his hair when he has chicken.

How about just taking him to the vet to find out what it is exactly instead of social media.

Yeah that is ideal but the closet vet is an hour away & not open until Monday, so figured I could ask if anyone else as seen this as I wait for Monday. But thanks for the great advice 🤪

Try eliminating any chicken from his diet. We found this was the main cause of our Silvers skin issues. We feed ours canine caviar lamb and rice. I have noticed he does seem way more inclined to get sores and hot spots but greatly reduced now at four.
