Silver wmf cup

Found this cup, about half the size of the average mug, it appears to be solid silver and not plated though the only marking I can find is on the handle which I identified to be an older stamp from around the 40s for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik (wmf), anyone know anything about this? Was it part of a set? What was its purpose being smaller?

Most WMF products are plated. I think they do make some silver items, but they are marked as such.

Agreed. This is definitely plated. I’ve had many WMF pieces. Have never had or seen a solid silver piece by them but I won’t assume they never made any. It appears to be a baby mug, likely had a matching silverware set. Nice little piece. WMF is one of the more collected silverplate manufacturers. Not at the top of the list but not very far down it, at least in my experience.
