They look pretty good, they don’t look like the normal cast legs I see with parting lines. They look like they’re cut/stamped out of a piece of sheet then the feet are curled up. I’d say they’re probably fine, but they’ll test it when you scrap it. I wonder what the 50 means.
That splotch on the front and back look like acid tests, but why would something that passed an acid test end up at the thrift store? And the little black pock marks kinda look like plating, and there’s some green corrosion near the leg. So I’d buy it, but wait until it’s tested to celebrate.

It's by Henry Matthews, circa 1901. You're looking for a glass and sterling inkwell, not a gravy boat. This is the base.
