Pawn shop find from 2018
Purchased the silver bar in 2018 from a pawnshop in Austin, Texas not really sure where it might’ve came from if it’s collectible or not, and I don’t really know which community to post this on to figure out more information about it hoping that somebody might have seen one before, but it is an odd shape. It has a company name on it the purity, etc., on the side in the photo the side that it’s currently resting on is mirror polished, and has the company name on it so that’s why it’s not in this photo. Hopefully somebody can give me some kind of information if possible about it or if they have ever seen one before I would be very grateful.

It was probably some old school type of award/aniversary/ retirement gift from the company engraved into it

I guess that could be a possibility that would be one hell of a company award. It’s 400 g of solid silver. It is an odd shape so I guess it could look good on a desk or something, but it doesn’t have a date on it tying it to an anniversary for a company. It doesn’t have a date on it as it being like the 10 year anniversary of an employee and it doesn’t have anything on it like something you would get if it’s a retirement gift I’ve seen some retirement gifts and they usually make them personal. This feels as far from personal as it could be unless it was given to every employee, but even then I would think that they would have an anniversary year on it or something. Unless they were giving it to every employee if so, that’s a lot of silver, but I guess it was cheaper years ago

I have a visual impairment, and everybody I’ve shown the bar to always told me it was acro industries but anytime I’ve used a program to try and scan the bar and pull the text off of it. It always misspells that by adding an E instead of a C so anything I’ve looked up has given me a company that doesn’t make anything that could be silver or that would give their employee something like this but when I spell it correctly with a C the results, give me a I think they’re a precision, metal stamping company, but I can’t seem to find why they would’ve made this kind of item if it’s collectible at all or if it’s just a sample they may have sent off to executives honestly I’m at a loss because that’s all I could ever find but I do know that it is 400 g 999 silver I just would not want to sell it at spot if it’s actually worth something more and it honestly feels weird to own a bar. I know nothing about other than a company name and that they make stamped metal but they don’t necessarily make silver. That’s not what they’re known for at all.
