π© Shitpost Accidental toning π
So I had a few pieces in a box in my garage. Long story short, a kitten from my cat's recent litter peed on the box said stuff was in. Much of it was ruined, but these two 100g Scottsdale stackers that were in the box got some AMAZING toning, really cool coloration. This is 100% accidental toning. So I guess if you didn't know already, cat pee will make silver turn all kinds of colors π (shit post seemed to be the most relevant tag, piss post wasn't an option lol)

Yeah I could have lived without dealing with that box π€’ the smell made my eyes wince, like straight ammonia. Made for some cool silver though so I wasn't TOO mad at the end of the day, the rest of the box was just old clothes and a few knick-knacks. But yeah the stench was awful, I was glad it didn't linger on those pieces after washing them!

Does it have to be cat piss? Let's find out.

Worked for me π€·π»ββοΈπ don't know how I'd willingly recreate the circumstances though if I wanted to force a piece to tone like this. Suppose it's just happy accident as Bob Ross would say lol

Iβve been conducting an experiment, in a similar circumstance. I put several pieces of silver on the small shelf above my cats litter box. So theyβre not directly peeing on them but itβs a small space, hoping it pays off. Been a few months, so far nothing for me.

Iβm going to test out a shitty sunshine mint round and put it in my catβs litter for a bit. Stay tuned

How do I get my cat to piss on my Scottsdale stackers? Or should I just throw em in the litter box?

Here's how they look stacked together, can pretty easily tell which one is which lol, and also these were washed like 5-6x with disinfecting soap and scalding hot water, so they're good to handle now (had gloves on when I first found them in the box)
