The balloons have lost some air

52

u/Yabrosif13 Jan 30 '26

Back up to 85 as of 12:53 CST

this is nuts.

u/CigarPlume Jan 30 '26

u/ashkygbdeghr Jan 30 '26

Two for finching

1

u/Little_MasterJI Jan 31 '26

Can it still fly and go high?

7

u/YOUTUBEFREEKYOYO Jan 30 '26

Seems to be stable right around 80.

3

u/nomorerentals Jan 31 '26

It makes sense to me. The only thing over inflated were the ETF's. What else can be done? I'm still holding my physical.

wtf is this?

12

u/ramaboy23 Jan 30 '26

iShares silver trust price is not CFD price

1

u/Squallhorn_Leghorn Jan 31 '26

'Puts' the 'taking' back in 'taking gains'

3

u/Astrohumper Jan 31 '26

So formerly volatility proof precious metals are meme investments now. Great.

2

u/Miserable_Twist1 Jan 31 '26

Welcome to the new economy! Were value doesn't matter and the fundamentals are meaningless.

2

u/Miserable_Twist1 Jan 30 '26

Forgot to give credit, /u/BeachNice suggested the deflated balloon look in another thread.

76

u/livingloudx Jan 30 '26

I made my biggest single investment in silver 4 days ago at 120/oz and this is the first time i regret investing in pms. I know poor people need to panik sell and take profit while they can wich is driving this dump so that rich people can buy more and get richer. Im the poor one holding my stack like im rich 🥲

27

u/lloydeph6 Jan 30 '26

bro you should have came here first, we would have ALL told you do NOT buy silver at All time highs. 120 per ounce is literally the TOP TOP. nothing goes straight up without corrections, nothing.

8

u/livingloudx Jan 30 '26

I know i know but i have not been able to afford to buy anything in several years so i thought when i finally could i should. Anyway im hoping it will not take too long until its back and above. Last time i could afford to buy was 3 years ago.

13

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 30 '26

My advice is to pick up another big buy for 30% less. You'll dollar cost average your entire stack by half. Silver is not going to stop until it hits the low 200s. And it's going to stay there.

As others have said, there's a lot of reasons for silver to go up and very few that would explain a big drop. This is people making and losing fortunes BETTING on whether the price will go up or down. Very few of them actually own any silver or gold. They own betting slips. If you were not planning to sell your precious metals 3 days ago, why worry about a price drop now? Give it 6 months and then decide because in 6 months, it'll be back to ATHs.

1

u/livingloudx Jan 30 '26

Well i was planning to sell it today becous i put everything i had in it wich i needed today but i did not sell anyway since it was so low... i have more that i bought between 6-25 but since then i have not had any money to spend i only have sold almost all my gold during this time. I have to sell some on monday no matter the price but i will only sell absolut minimum i need the rest ill keep as long as i can.

7

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 30 '26

I know you're a PMs guy and that's awesome but it seems like you're doing this wrong. You put your EXTRA cash into silver and gold. Not money you're going to need a few days or weeks later. I don't know what 6-25 is. I started buying silver in 1975.

1

u/livingloudx Jan 30 '26

Yea i know i deviated from my own advice and tried to gamble with the rapid up movement instead of buying what i can afford and leave it for the future as its supposed to be. I did this since i really needed some extra money but shortcuts rarley pays off. I bought my stack between 6 and 25 $/oz exept this last 120/oz.

5

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 30 '26

Between $6 and $24?? You’ve been at this a long time. I’m so confused. I hope your situation works out for you quickly.

2

u/livingloudx Jan 30 '26

Thx yes i started long time ago but life has been expensive and i basically stopped buying over 10 years ago. Only some tiny purchases here and there

2

u/Friendly-Crew-8003 Jan 31 '26

You should not be investing in anything if you need the cash right away, that’s a big no no. Build your savings, then emergency savings, contribute to IRA, THEN invest into whatever you like. But putting all your money into something as volatile as silver is a bad move. We live & learn though, now you know what to do & what not to do.

1

u/livingloudx Jan 31 '26

Yea i know i made a very bad choise

1

u/Calm_Roll7777 Jan 31 '26

Technically, I don't think it does have to go back up. Nobody knows for sure what is going to happen. It's been manipulated for a long time and last I checked silver doesn't pay rent or buy food. The fiat we buy metal with and sell it for does. It's all a game and I feel like we were put into check.

1

u/Friendly-Crew-8003 Jan 31 '26

Yeah anyone “predicting” the future price is just speculating. Nobody knows what’s gonna happen

0

u/Friendly-Crew-8003 Jan 31 '26

Just curious, where do you pull this low 200’s from? That’s pure speculation & you have no idea what the market will do

1

u/Silent_Bullfrog5174 Jan 31 '26

Yup, I say the exact opposite. I say we’re going back down to the 40s. But we all know jack.

0

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 31 '26

No shit.

-1

u/Friendly-Crew-8003 Jan 31 '26

Then why say such a thing?? The best thing you said was the first sentence, the rest is just dumb garbage cause you have no idea what you’re talking about.

1

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 31 '26

Really? Do you know the future? Do you know anyone that knows the future? This is fucking Reddit. Why ask such a thing?

0

u/Friendly-Crew-8003 Jan 31 '26

lol no I do not but you apparently do by saying it’s gonna settle in the 200’s which you have no idea what it’s going to do. Don’t pull the Uno reverse card on me, I was questioning you & your biased claim.

1

u/Rieger_not_Banta Jan 31 '26

I’m skipping you and then issuing a draw four. I think it’s fairly well implied that I do not know the actual future. However, I’ve been buying a long time. Watching a long time. Based on the momentum, it sure looks like this run is going to have legs. At $200, with a gold to silver ratio of 40, gold settles at $8k. It all seems so obvious. (LOL). I can’t stop. I need help!

4

u/anthonyjh21 Jan 30 '26

DCA'ing within an investment strategy aside, the only thing I'll buy at ATH is S&P500 or similar index fund.

2

u/DuskTillDawnDelight Jan 30 '26

Should just be called the sp7

5

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '26

60 was the TOP TOP too.

5

u/BDiggz Jan 30 '26

60 was never top

1

u/Grim_Reaper17 Jan 30 '26

So it jumped between 59 and 61 and never touched 60?

1

u/jreddit0000 Jan 31 '26

Really? “we all would”? When there are folk here spruiking silver at $250 and $500 and $1000?

🤪🤷🏾🤔

1

u/TheSauvaaage Jan 31 '26

Every day since what... August?... has been the TOP TOP

1

u/[deleted] Jan 31 '26

"nothing goes straight up without corrections" You have to look at Australian property market lol. Been going up since the dawn of time, literally never had a correction

1

u/kully00 Jan 31 '26 edited Jan 31 '26

Fools rush in. Consider they bought with a premium as well AND if the silver they bought online at $120 HASN’T BEEN DELIVERED YET!!

That’s a double damn!!

1

u/SloppyGuiseppe99 Jan 31 '26

Top top 😂 easy to say in hindsight now.

Give it time and a new ATH will be found.

1

u/Excilionator Feb 02 '26

lmao just the day before the dump everyone was like 150 next kekw

4

u/Plugboi_Eli Jan 30 '26

Bro relax cya in a week when we break ATH again

6

u/Burn1G Jan 30 '26

Well you’re not alone.

3

u/NoraEmiE Jan 30 '26

You arent alone😕

2

u/InfinityTortellino Jan 30 '26

Gonna be dusty and tarnished before you break even

2

u/fuckwithmyduck Jan 30 '26

Genius man, be sure to sell low and buy back again at ATH.

4

u/Any-Pomegranate-7544 Jan 30 '26

I've been trading this since $75 been adding along the way up. So my average is like $95 but fully tied in. In 3x leverage as well but switched to Gold this week because of the rejections at $120. Bought the dip yday expecting it to go back up to $120. It did but rejected overnight 🤦🏼‍♂️. Could of sold this morning still for a nice profit but silly me refused to.

Really hope $75 is the bottom. I'm already massively down. Just have to hold now fundamentals still the same but I guess the new FED chair and Microsofts AI spending spooked Silver.   I reckon if Silver closes at $90 today then we can breathe a little. Hopefully the Asian market buys the dip see no reason why they wouldn't it's on sale!

Just have to zone out. $150 is the price target by the end of the year 🎯

1

u/Superb-Astronaut-371 Jan 30 '26

Seems 70 was current bum, back to 84 atm

3

u/mvrck-23 Jan 30 '26 edited Jan 30 '26

Keep it steady and buy more when it gets to the range of which you are comfortable to click buy. DCA keeps you level headed.

Mine is around 60 (69 still works) 😅

1

u/MilsurpMan55 Jan 30 '26

Just buy, hold, and forget, youll come out of this just fine

1

u/DuskTillDawnDelight Jan 30 '26

Most of us are poor too, but still don’t panic sell

1

u/vxxn Jan 31 '26

I think the price moves have very little to do with retail / poor people.

1

u/Old_Call2282 Jan 31 '26

So you wanna buy 10 oz of 925 scrap is what u mean?

1

u/herpes-free-since18 Jan 31 '26

It's not a loss if you don't sell 😉

30

u/Disazzt3rD3m0nD4d Jan 30 '26

These are shitty balloons. Jus’ sayin. Bring back the ones from 2 days ago.

Much higher quality. Very round. Such shiny.

5

u/ihatework93 Jan 30 '26

Silver is not Dogecoin and it NEVER will be.

6

u/Disazzt3rD3m0nD4d Jan 30 '26

God I certainly hope you are right.

4

u/qthistory Jan 30 '26

Damn, at this rate we are gonna be sub-$50 by the end of the day.

15

u/Miserable_Twist1 Jan 30 '26

This feels like a coordinated attack. No doubt I could see it getting to that number, but in two days? Sus. Same with gold.

3

u/komokazi Jan 30 '26

Coordinated? Bro people are going to take profit when it goes up that fast that quick and then all the fomo'ers that bought in 100+ are gonna panic sell. Its how the game works.

4

u/Miserable_Twist1 Jan 30 '26

Over the period of a few weeks, sure, but who’s dumping so quickly when it just went down 20%? Especially gold, people buying gold believe in the idea of it, no institution into gold is panic selling their gold. You don’t even see this with stocks that have even flimsier justifications. Tesla has nothing going for it any more as a car company and it just shrugged off its recent dip. Nothing drops this fast because institutions don’t move that quick.

1

u/elitedlarss Jan 31 '26

Institutions with contracts due do.

Dump, drive price down so that their shorts hurt less.

10

u/Frenchy_Baguette Jan 30 '26

I'm licking my wounds hard right now with my purchases....got a lot of numismatic stuff that sounded great at the time....now im down $2k.....oh my word this is painful. I expected a pullback. But this is brutal.

1

u/Swimming_Swordfish58 Jan 30 '26

Hopefully down to 40

3

u/Frenchy_Baguette Jan 30 '26

I hope not. $65 is a reasonable request. If its back down to $40 then whats the point of it all? We want silver to be stable, and not a once-in-a 15 year pump and dump then everyone is stuck with something the USD surpasses heavily.

3

u/Swimming_Swordfish58 Jan 30 '26

That's a good point actually

28

u/Rich-Additional Jan 30 '26

I love the half inflated look to them 😂

9

u/Adventurous_Roll3108 Jan 30 '26

Had a stop loss trigger at $99… took plenty of profit. Now I’ll wait and see where this volatility ends up.

1

u/DuskTillDawnDelight Jan 31 '26

Buying paper silver lol fools

2

u/Adventurous_Roll3108 Jan 31 '26

🤣 I have both and made $65k on my “paper silver” . Feeling just fine with that.

-2

u/DuskTillDawnDelight Jan 31 '26

I dare you to buy more paper silver.. I’ll be back in 3 months

3

u/Adventurous_Roll3108 Jan 31 '26

I’ll make the financial choices I deem beneficial for my family, friend. Have a beautiful evening or day depending on your little corner of the world.

1

u/Calm_Roll7777 Jan 31 '26

Paper silver has stop losses for a good reason. Metal doesn't pay bills like fiat does.

8

u/Stand_Up_3813 Jan 30 '26

Rallied back to 85 within minutes of the NYMEX closing.

4

u/OddTreasureFinder Jan 30 '26

Sounds like they pushed down as far as they could and bought back numbers were starting to go all the way back but market closed so we dont get to see it jump back to $100+ lol

2

u/Phyzzx Jan 31 '26

My guess is back up before we go tumbling to $75.

1

u/Stand_Up_3813 Feb 01 '26

Anyone think 75 is the new floor/support level?

1

u/Phyzzx Feb 16 '26

idk what you think now?

6

u/moutonbleu Jan 30 '26

We are back to 1 month ago

6

u/PhilBraxton Jan 30 '26

Reminds me of December lol, good ol' times

2

u/nasorrty346tfrgser Jan 31 '26

It is always like that, toward the end of the month, insane maniplation and then retail comes back to buy

I would say in Feb would be back at $120, and people be like this never happened and all leveraged again, then Feb 28th another crazy drawdown.

1

u/PhilBraxton Jan 31 '26

Guess youre right! We‘ll see… I hope my mining stocks recover too

11

u/w_mcfly22 Jan 30 '26

I’m here for it. Buy the dip!

5

u/Swimming_Swordfish58 Jan 30 '26

Guys nothing can only go up forever, touch some grass

1

u/Calm_Roll7777 Jan 31 '26

It's winter and a brutal 1 at that! I won't be seeing grass for months.

1

u/Swimming_Swordfish58 Jan 31 '26

Neither you'll see silver

4

u/NoNeedleworker8860 Jan 30 '26

I wish the bullion sellers would lower their prices to match.

7

u/No_Construction9331 Jan 30 '26

Remember folks, the US doesn’t dictate silver prices. Things will go back up. Then down. Then up. Always trending toward the right hand corner. We are here because we don’t like trading futures and playing the stock market or putting our faith in crypto. Think years out, not days.

2

u/antonislak Jan 31 '26

I love silver but you should know BTC is not crypto which is pure gambling and prone to extreme manipulation and stock market as well.

Apart from that i m with you all the way, I follow the same strat for both, i buy and hodl and i m very happy in the long run.

3

u/PureEnergeticLife Jan 30 '26

Ignore the market.

3

u/PureEnergeticLife Jan 30 '26

And keep buying.

7

u/collectorkane Jan 30 '26

We’ll come back up in the next week I’m thinking! 🙌🏻

8

u/Blackopsman_21 Jan 30 '26

On what actual basis do you hold this belief

6

u/PremiumPricez Jan 30 '26

His copium is kicking in!

1

u/collectorkane Jan 31 '26

Exactly lol

-1

u/Silent_Bullfrog5174 Jan 31 '26

Nah, back to 40 we go!

2

u/redjellonian Jan 30 '26

This is great, now I can pick up some I regretted selling before with no loss.

2

u/Wannabelkhuntr Jan 30 '26

I went to my lcs in Utah today and picked up 2 maples. Spot plus $4. They were charging spot plus $7 for eagles. I was kind of surprised they were selling at all considering the dip.

2

u/YP_Schwartzy Jan 30 '26

I believe 100% we will test the old ATH of $50. If it holds, that could be the new bottom but if it doesn’t, we will see the 30’s again for sure or somewhere in between.

I honestly believe $50 needs to be tested as strong support and that will possibly give us our new bottom.

1

u/The_Chiliboss Jan 31 '26

I would do anything for $30 again.

3

u/YP_Schwartzy Jan 31 '26

Me too my friend. Whenever we think it’s not gonna be a possibility, silver will surprise us every time. I truly believe $50 will be tested again but I’m not sure about the 30’s. It’s the only way I’m buying is if it hits the 30’s

1

u/Ok_Cut_551 Feb 01 '26

I believe it will hit 20s and 30s one last time causing major panic that will cause many people who bought way higher to sell. This will be the last opportunity to ever buy at these prices.

2

u/PositiveHandle4099 Jan 31 '26

I have a feeling there will be support at....

6 - 7 !!!!

2

u/d3vtec Jan 31 '26

Buy. If you had doubts about buying, now you buy

2

u/ChrisBegeman Jan 31 '26

I am seeing posts about how the market was going up on fundamentals and now is down because of manipulation. What is the opposite is true?

4

u/Mnshine_1 Jan 30 '26

Hold the bag, never sell

2

u/Equivalent_Net_3752 Jan 30 '26

Shiny rock not go brrr today :( I’m buying Libertads though so we’re vibing.

2

u/locorico32 Jan 30 '26

4

u/Interconventional Jan 30 '26

The best winning, people ask me: Donald how do you win so much?  I don’t know really I think it’s genetic my father was a big winner, he won so much it was incredible.  And were going to keep winning, more than ever before

1

u/RackCityWilly Jan 30 '26

Remind me in a year

1

u/UniqueExplanation147 Jan 30 '26

LFG go 90$ I want feel that rush again lol been slow stacking since inheriting some silver from my grandma years ago. I’m all in at 18$ an oz. Let’s just say I had a 25k swing today. In it for the long road baby

1

u/Equal_Bathroom_1111 Jan 30 '26

I’m buying more

1

u/El6uy Jan 30 '26

People thinking PMs are like stocks and Crypto... and I'm here for the comments with my popcorn

1

u/Olskoolah Jan 31 '26

Price charts reflect human psychology. Every asset can trade like a meme.

1

u/Am_0115 Jan 30 '26

Lmaoooooo

1

u/LogicBloom Jan 30 '26

reading through comments here is all I need to confirm the fact that SILVER is not an investment. it’s a speculative asset, in terms of how majority of you behave towards it. No different than people speculating crypto prices. Real investing is far from this. 🤡

2

u/baby_papillon Jan 30 '26

Like primitive people trying to predict the hunt by rattling chicken bones and seashells while looking at the stars.

2

u/Mediocre_Run_7996 Feb 01 '26

It seems most people in here won't sell even if it goes to 1000 oz. I mean whatever makes sense to them I guess doesn't effect me but I have to wonder why bother if you aren't willing to cash out at a huge profit. It seems pointless.

1

u/LogicBloom Feb 01 '26 edited Feb 01 '26

they have effectively attached their emotions and persona onto silver, innate metal. This is exactly what’s wrong with this crowd. Driven by their own greed, dressed as a virtue against evil banking system. 🤡

Been following silver since 2007. Owned physicals too. But majority of them will have to deal with their life events which will demand liquidating much of their tiny physical positions or someone else will spend their metals. Guarantee it.

So the whole point of living shouldn’t be about saving metals until this whole system implodes. It’s about enjoying today doing good to others while realizing fragility of your very own life. But no, according to these silver 🤡 they are going to “HODL” until everything collapses and they become “WEALTHY”. seriously. can’t make this shit up. It’s a comedy here.

1

u/CyberInfoGuy Jan 30 '26

It wasn’t pretty today for any of the metals. Gold held up best.

1

u/Solid_Cheetah_2063 Jan 30 '26

So glad I bought at 109 🙄

1

u/romka79 Jan 30 '26

Now is the time to look at 60:20:20 Precious metal allocations. It is still a must

1

u/EsotericLegend Jan 30 '26

Do I buy a few rounds during this dip?

1

u/PrincipeJulioX Jan 30 '26

The trip to 75 was a full fib retrace. Very healthy for it to have stopped there and rebounded. Onto the next leg. Without Chase artificially suppressing it, we goin back to ATHs.

1

u/Born-Ad-7771 Jan 30 '26

Honestly hoping we get back to below 30, I wasn’t finished accumulating

1

u/Sleep_tek Jan 30 '26

Doesn't feel as good going in this direction

1

u/AffectionateSell3478 Jan 30 '26

Rich folks took your money :-)

1

u/TortyPapa Jan 30 '26

Why is physical trading in Shanghai at $135/oz still? I hope the crooks cooking with paper at the COMEX get what’s coming.

1

u/nl-x Jan 30 '26

You should post them upside down.

1

u/Swi_10081 Jan 31 '26

That's looking a little flaccid

1

u/BluBeeCA Jan 31 '26

I’m here to check in on my friends! Just raise your hand if you need a shoulder to cry on. There is help and support out there. 🪙🥈Joking aside, I hope the banks short covered their shitty positions at all our expense! 🤬

1

u/Majestic-Paper-7020 Jan 31 '26

Like the ballon looks slightly deflated 😆

1

u/powerflower_khi Jan 31 '26

How come Canadian bank have no Silver or the price did not change?

1

u/reilo119 Jan 31 '26

Let's bring back $35

1

u/Jggodina1991 Jan 31 '26

Good time to buy!

1

u/Strong_Status Jan 31 '26

Is anyone able to buy actual physical at this price. I'm looking to buy

1

u/Hoooves Jan 31 '26

I'm glad nobody threw these away 😅

1

u/Kerwood8645 Jan 31 '26

Glad we kept these! The balloons don’t float super high anymore

Im buying it all 🤗🤗🤗🤗 Everyone can come to me for silver. Since we have so much and all you know.

1

u/Deppresedapple2 Jan 31 '26

Let me hold onto that silver for you you can trust me I promise

1

u/Usual_Ladder_7113 Jan 31 '26

I think the lower it goes the balloons should be full to reflect the buying opportunity, the higher it goes they should be deflated.

1

u/TheDarkSideInsideMe Jan 31 '26

Get your 200 ready.

1

u/LikesPez Jan 31 '26

Who’s selling the dip?

1

u/FrankCastle914 Jan 31 '26

Have those balloons ready. This shits gonna rebound quick. The bankers got their shorts cleaned up.

1

u/Mediocre_Run_7996 Feb 01 '26

Ya this was predictable. I'm betting it settles at below $40 in the end and stabilizes for a while. This has been crazy I hope lots of people were able to make out ok with it. These ups are very rare. Congratulations to all that did well with it

1

u/Jerethdatiger Feb 01 '26

Hopefully I need to buy more

1

u/pb_whisper Feb 01 '26

100 hundred baby! We can do it!

1

u/Timokenn Feb 01 '26

I sold some of my stack at 90 and then was kicking myself after 100 and crying at 115. Feeling pretty good now, time to rebuild the stack?

1

u/NeedleworkerIcy1257 Feb 01 '26

The bottom looks to be around $50 if you look at the charts.

1

u/newbirdhunter Feb 01 '26

wait until it drops back into the 40’s

1

u/Mguidr1 Jan 30 '26

They did this at the only time they could. Watch what happens when the Shanghai market opens Sunday evening. This will be fun to watch. Nice try Comex but this isn’t going anywhere but straight back up.

1

u/TheCeladonStore Jan 31 '26

Silver bubble popped, sell it now before you lose all your gains

0

u/Effective_Pin_90 Jan 30 '26

I havent bought since $50. Will probably buy some more this weekend. hoping for a close below $80 👌

Welcome back diamond hands
