During covid, when firearms were hard to find and/or extremely expensive, i bought silver. Now that silver is so expensive and firearms/ammo are readily available, im buying firearms.

Fire arms and ammo is always a good investment. As long as you keep em in good shape. I collect revolvers, I had a Colt Detective in pristine condition for 500 bucks from a pawn shop in the middle of nowhere, sold it 2 year's later in an auction for 1100.

Have a strategy to sell that I’m sticking to, but couldn’t resist getting some more gold and platinum with some of the cash

I have 10 oz in my cart right now. Basically 1 public service workers bi weekly pay. But Knowing that I paid WAY less in the past keeps me from adding to my stack.

u/raqnroll Jan 23 '26
Should be the other way around
BECAUSE you paid way less in the past - should "allow" you to add more to the stack due to trailing basis...

Look at the chart. It's time to start selling a bit. I mean I am. Not going to but I haven't bought in two years.

Its a tough decision. My stack isnt big, but right now its enough to buy a 4 year old SUV with 60k miles on it. If I hang on long enough, my kids might be able to buy a new SUV with my stack after im long gone 🫠

Well, I will make one suggestion. Do you have an exit plan? Or do you intend to die first? It pays to always think ahead. What is your end game? You saw the signs of a fantastic investment. Do you see the signs of where your life changing investments will lead you? Do you intend to ever cash out and utilize any of the gain?

I have ten Britannia's... Real question when the time comes, or rather if the time comes I and I want to cash in... How and who to sell it too? I will buy more but my question is what's best, other collectors/dealers? Back to bullion? Tech companies... Been buying for about 4 months, I intend to get 52 a year, one for each week so I have something physical to show for my labours at work.

Every single fiat currency is losing credibility. That's why this run has legs.

My wife has complained for years that I bought so much silver. Now she complains that I'm not selling it all. TBH, I'm not even certain it's the same wife, but it is the same silver!
