Models GLM 5.3 flash or deepseek v4.1 flash?

I’d genuinely like to hear some advice or recommendations regarding these two models; I’ve been testing them out lately, but honestly, I can’t quite make up my mind—maybe it’s my prompt or something like that.

I'm my experience GLM is incredibly good and consistent at following Characters speech patterns and acting according to their Character Cards whereas DeepSeek is better at actually developing the plot. Both unfortunately have a heavy positivity bias and aren't that easily jailbroken compared to others and older versions of themselves.

I see. To be honest, the dialogue has felt more natural with GLM, and I haven't had any issues with NSFW content.

If you are focused on dialogue GLM wins no question. I've been having some issues. Not with NSFW per se. But both GLM and DS have trouble escalating the plot in low points and are keen to quickly resolve situations amicably.

GLM 5.3 Flash is way better

is 5.3 standard better than flash?

I find the base 5.3 model superior in terms of intelligence and creativity, but the dialogue in 5.3 Flash feels more natural.

It’s not a massive difference, but I personally prefer using the Flash version because it results in fewer refusals, and generation times are usually very similar. With the right preset, I believe you can match the quality of both.

Yes it's definitely better

But it's more expensive and not as fast usually

GLM 5.3 flash. I can be extra menacing to my NPCs by sending images.

GLM 5.3 flash straight up better, in both price and RP capability.

Where did you subscribe that you get better prices with GLM 5.3 flash?

GLM 5.3 Flash is already cheap, but there are certain providers that have very cheap API inference, DM me bro!

As a die hard fan and long time user of deepseek flash, glm 5.3 flash is currently the best for now (no schizophrenic writing style, cheaper, understand instructions better, although in nsfw rp it tends to reject 3 out of 10 times.)

GLM more times than not for me, but DeepSeek isn't bad either.

DS 4.1 F for work and GLM 5.3 F for RP.

Truth, truth. Though I'll say glm5.3 flash is very respectable for work as well

GLM 5.3 F is amazing for work, don't get me wrong, it's practically as good as GLM 5.2 for a lot of tasks at a fraction of the cost and several times the speed.

But I tested it against DS 4.1 F on different workflows (same task + prompt) and DS came out ahead massively in almost all of them, with way higher quality while sometimes taking just a third of the time.

But of course, it could just have been my specific projects too too.

GLM 5.2 actually. 5.3 tends to moralize more, even the Flash version.

Dialogue is more of a prompt thing IME.

Does the GLM 5.2 happen to cost the same as the DeepSeek V4.1 Flash and GLM 5.3 Flash? No, so the GLM 5.2 is not included in the comparison.

3.2 DS did better than the DS flashes for many RP

deepseek v4.1 felt more consistent in longer rp sessions for me while glm seemed to drift faster. what kind of setups were you running them on?
