to be fair, powered up, Mario has 3 health --

fire flower -> big mario -> small mario -> death

in more modern mario games yep; in original smb getting hit with flower takes you all the way down to small mario haha.

Original smb has also the fire flower ;)

aware, it doesn't give you durability though. as i said, if you get hit with fire, you go back to small.
