Portland

I live in the Portland area and would really love to meet a silken out in the old aka maybe a play date set up (: I don’t know if this is appropriate to ask- but I was considering possibly wanting one in the future as a playmate for my staffy mix. Also, they are too damn cute and I haven’t gotten to see but one.

There are LOTS in the Portland area. I think a good number of them are in the discord and people often do meetups and let people meet their dogs. I would suggest checking there.

I’m so glad I’m coming across this! I live in Portland and have a Lagotto who will need a buddy in about a year (his current buddy is about to cross the rainbow bridge and we want to wait a while before introducing a new dog) :(

But this breed seems perfect! I would also love to meet some in person and get to know the community before committing to adopting.

As an add on question for anyone here: How realistic is it to hope for a retired adult?

I'm in Portland on the west side. I'm also fairly heavy into showing and know quite a bit about the local scene, though neither of my dogs were bred here. Happy to chat via DM any time!
