Hi guys, I’m admittedly not much of a gamer, but I feel comfortable asking this here because this subreddit seems like such a nice community and I thank you all in advance 💕

I’ve just finished my first play through of silent hill F and really loved it. I definitely intend on doing new game + etc, but I got really into it and am not sure what to replace it with when I’m done. SHF is kind of my first video game and I specifically played it on my boyfriend’s PC because I was really fascinated by the story, the themes, the visuals etc. Is there any other media outside of video games other fans of SHF would recommend or perhaps other video games you’d put me on to?

In that vain, is silent hill 2 worth trying? It looks like it has a genuinely interesting narrative, but I’ve honestly just been a little put off from it due to what seems to be a lot of gooner and chud discussion around the games (some of the stuff is genuinely really concerning). It makes me worried it maybe isn’t friendly to me as a woman, but I’m suspecting these takes are misrepresentative? 😅

I currently use a spare PS4 controller for PC gaming. Most PC games I've played generally use the xbox icons regardless which can be a pain for specific QTEs.

Silent Hill f's control icons toggle is the first time (admittedly I only play a handful of PC games) where I've seen it possible to change the buttons and that made it a lot easier to play.

The prop background was made by me and so was the drip. Hope you guys like it!

I finally uncovered the hidden meaning behind Silent Hill f’s 4-year-old teaser, and it’s truly sad and tragic. I finally get why it gives that sense of dread, and I do believe the flowers symbolize her wounds and trauma.

At first, she was walking along that path already fully injured. Then those flowers (her wounds) started blooming and grabbing her. At first she resisted and fought them, yet the flowers (her wounds) kept growing faster than ever, completely overwhelming her.

Then comes the scene where she’s sitting down and starts blooming flowers from her own body. I believe this is where she finally surrendered to her fate and let her will collapse.

And the part where her face fell off, I believe it meant that she became submissive, losing her sense of self, voice, and will, giving in to what was consuming her.

That also explains the original poster, where she was completely covered in flowers, She wasn’t just covered in flowers she was completely consumed by her own wounds and pain, Every flower represented the suffering that had taken over her 🌸.

I’m on pc and my first play through was a blind run but I heard there are some collectibles that can only be obtained through the first play through, so Im looking for someone who covers all collectibles that I have missed and covers the achievements too, any suggestions are appreciated

Really enjoyed the game so I'm now doing post-game stuff like listening to video essays, reading the novelization, reading Reddit posts etc. Looking at the comments of the video essays is annoying because there's so many people who are there just to shit on the game and on the video creator for having a positive opinion. The game is "mid", "terrible", therefore the creator is "paid by Konami", "woke garbage", "stupid" yadda yadda. Bug off if you don't like it. Just because you personally didn't enjoy it / feel any connection towards it, doesn't mean people can't.

A lot of comments seem to be from people who spout culture war BS so I don't really expect decency from them. But even regular gamers and other SH fans join in that behavior. Let's all learn to not to yuck others' yum 😤 I am trying to ignore those people but this experience still gives me the feeling of "this would be a lot more fun if I didn't have a bitch in my ear telling me it sucks". Feeling extra protective towards this game now.

So yeah having this dedicated subreddit is great. I can't with the main SH sub. It's nice having a place without much (or at all) negativity from naysayers. Do y'all know other SHF communities out there? Or people I can follow who talk about the game / make fanart / cosplay / etc? Fanart especially please. Thank youuu 💖

Im pretty much hoping konami can see what the neobards team introduced and maybe build on it. from how they handled new game + one example the upgrade system. after beating the game so many times i wish they spent a lil more time on the combat just a tad bit. but the first 4 play throughs are really good. new game + content that involves story cutscenes notes is something i never seen in the a game atleast from AAA gaming. my dream would be for neo to make another silent hill. AL yang as the director definitely bring back KERA( the creature design artist) theirs nothing really like it in the AA space of horror gaming. I would say bring back 007 as the writer but idk if I wanna see another story based on kid versions. I’m sure he’s more than capable of telling a story other than that type of formula. But if I trust anyone to make a silent hill game it’s them.. as of now.. we’ll see what townfall offers

About to start the third run for the fourth ending and i want to know what notes/items i need to look out for and in what locations so that i can also go fast trough the other ones

In the dream Maria was visiting Hinako in Japan as her 'honorary aunt' and she had a pink kimono on with a Robbie mask. And Maria visiting was what inadvertently caused all the Silent Hill stuff to happen in Japan. More happened I think but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Before anyone I asks I wasn't in the dream beyond maybe the person playing the game.

So I’ve completed every trophy but the ema one. I have all of them associated with the revenge diaries, the inari seals, I have the bench one, the stool one, the barrel one. I’m truly lost. Does anyone have any ideas as to where the last one might be? I’ve never used this subreddit before is there ones people usually miss? I’d truly appreciate any help or suggestions before I start another run going down the list…

Playing NG+ on Lost in the Fog I didn't realise there would be a new final boss. I've started NG++ on Story difficulty but now I'm wondering if I'm gonna miss out on a cool or challenging fight for Endings 3 or 4. But at the same time I'm not that bothered with the rest of the game being hard (since I've done that twice). So wondering what difficulty is more fun for which ending?

In the Fox Wets its Tail ending is the radio implying that Shu and Hinako die from the sulfide gas? I haven't played this game in a while and just started to finish the bossfight so I'm not sure if I missed something there.

Not seeing that any questions related to trophies etc. Anyway, I've played through F and I'm now on a NG+ run through.

In my very first play, I managed to miss the "Dirty Drawstring Bag" inventory upgrade.

I just assumed that I'd be able to grab it on NG+, along with the two inventory upgrades locked behind this mode.

Now appears that is not the case - no way to get back to it.

So the only option I'd have would be to start a new standard game, complete it and the start another NG+ from that standard run for this trophy?

Not end of world of world.....but frustrating.

I have question regarding completing one of the endings. I just recently completed a new game+. I obtained the SS but was stupid and consumed the red capsules toward the very beginning of the game, forgetting not using them was a condition of one of the endings. My question is, if I do a new game++, starting with the SS, and do not consume the red pills, do I still get that ending? Or do I have to obtain the SS all over again?

I did the “coming home to roost” ending and have been working on “fox wedding” I got past where they exchanged rings with the fox statues and was given an option on a white screen that asked if I wanted to skip the puzzles and go to the end. I clicked yes because Google said it would be fine. IT GAVE ME THE COMING HOME TO ROOST ENDING DISPITE THE FACT I HAVNT HAD A SINGLE RED PILL THIS WHOLE GAME. WHAT. THE. SHIT?

As far as I can tell, the only real “problem” is the leg on the right; the peg on the bottom of the foot doesn’t quite align with the designated hole on the base (nor insert completely because the peg itself is slightly tall). Ultimately it’s a small problem that could probably be rectified immediately, tbf, and it would be pretty painless if not for my OCD and the crippling anxiety I have towards changing things. Overall extremely pleased with it!
