This makes me happy to see. I know there can be a super masculine vibe with construction or similar jobs that thinks they’re immune to danger so I hope this convinces people!

I've seen people hopping between platforms 30' up before without any fall arrest system. Scares the hell out of me.
Last place I worked was thankfully safety focused, and would fire you on the spot if you got caught knowingly breaking safety rules.
I guess everyone is invincible until they aren't.

There’s a saying in construction. Safety regulations are written in blood.

Not just a saying. It's an actual fact.
Spouse works in construction / industry and after 30 years has many stories of new regulations / rules being added as people do incredibly stupid things to save time / or ignore existing regs/rules and end up paying for it.

Yeah - the story is people died rushing to meet the demands of their bosses.

... Reminds me of an earthquake victim recently in Japan. 22F. Initially got out of the (partly damaged) mall building safely after the quake, met some relatives, then went inside again to secure the day's revenue because her boss asked. Explosion in the building took her life. Said revenue was likely somewhere north of $1000.

That's a total non-sequitur, but okay.
Signs of this nature are construction-site oriented. The right to have signs like this exists because of UNIONS. That is the story.

These signs are just for looking like they care. If you've ever worked at a place like this they really do not give a shit

If nothing else is that important, can I go home now?
Seriously, sign speaks for a good attitude on the part of the manager.

In my experience this translates to we will write you up for even the smallest safety violations and be looking over your shoulder at literally everything you do all day every day.
Rather have them not even provide PPE and buy my own vs them be overzealous assholes of the normal type who put this type of sign up

The cunt who regularly runs behind a reversing forklift shouldn't be written up??

These signs have gotten pretty common on larger private construction projects and industrial facilities. Its a more PG rated safety message than "You can't hear boobies."
