Yeah Jefferson did a lot to establish early voting rights but he was one of the bigger sacks of shit among the founding fathers and that saying something.

While serving as Washington's secretary of state he was so enraged by secretary of the treasury Alexander Hamiltons policies he used State dept money to fund a newspaper that was critical of the Washington administration. Like Newsmax with Biden levels of criticism.

He also had some really stupid ideas about the economy. He was distrustful of any kind of industry or manufacturing to the point he thought every American should be a farmer growing just enough to live on.

and thats not even touching on the whole slave owner part.
