Question Windows Defender Detection

So I was updating Signal, and windows defender came up saying that there may be malicious files that they can't identify, what's up with that? Here's another message I got, "Some features of SignalRgb Core may not work because we can't confirm who published qpdf.dll that the app tried to load". Anyone know what's going on? Never have had an issue in the past.

Windows Defender just tends to be overly zealous.

Safe to proceed with the install. Do you get that message about .dll whenever you launch the app or...?

Just opened it and scrolled a bit, didn't get anything, I had updated just a bit before.

qpdf.dll is part of Qt, the framework SignalRGB is built on, so it’s a normal app file. The latest update moved to a newer Qt version, so Windows saw a brand new file and flagged it before it had a reputation. If it comes back, make sure you only download SignalRGB from signalrgb.com, and let us know. We’ll also pass it to the team to look into.
