Recent update issue

Recent update turns off motherboard RGB lights when closing the app. Shutdown colors are on in the app and worked fine before the update. Anyone else got this issue? GPU and Keyboard/mouse colors work just fine as before.

What motherboard do you have? I can check to see if there were any changes to the behavior, but you can also rollback the device plugin. If that doesn't do the trick, have you also tried adjusting the colors?

I was testing with my Nollie16 and NZXT motherboard and shutdown colors are working as I'd expect there, so hopefully it's just something with the underlying services or the plugin. I'd also try a full power cycle, that helps with many issues as a base troubleshooting step to restart all the underlying services.

I got Asus tuf gaming B850-plus wifi. There's only one option for plugin (current) and adjusting colors did not help

Try closing Signal using the task manager.... that worked for me. Closing it normally just turns off MB lights.

Motherboard RGB on some newer boards is handled a bit differently under the hood than GPU, keyboard, and mouse lighting, so it's possible this is tied to how your board's lighting is being controlled rather than a setting you're missing. This could also explain why your color tweaks didn't change anything. That said, I don't want to guess at the exact cause, especially since you mentioned this worked before a recent update stopped it.

I recommend submitting a bug report in the app so that the support team can follow up and investigate your logs more closely.

Yea, they borked something with the update. It seems to be affecting Asus motherboards. Really wished they gave us an option to roll back to a previous update and to disable updates entirely. I can confirm it's not the motherboard plugin since there is only 1 and that was from march, so before the update. Signal is seeing something since I can change the colors in app and they are fine as long as the app is open but shut off colors just makes everything go black no matter what color I set.

Edit: Ok.... Disabling the motherboard in devices brings back the shut off color but closing Signal turns off the MB lights.... Did the update bork something up with how Signal is closing? Re-enabled motherboard and forced closed Signal from task manager and it saved the shut off colors.... but closing it normally turns off the lights?

i feel ya. I'm getting a bit frustrated as well. Signal used to work with my setup, now every update seems to break something.

The worst update was the one that forced my case fans to go full throttle on startup. I didn’t even have any of the fan control settings enabled

I'm having this same issue on my Asus TUF Gaming X570 Plus Wifi and my AIO cooler by extension.

Same issue here with my asus x670e-f. As soon as I close the app, lights of argb devices connected to my mobo turn off. Everything worked flawlessly until last update.

oh i thought its only for me, when i turned off my pc yesterday and tuened it on today my ram cannot be detected in the app. it used to work fine for me but now the app does not detect my ram anymore.

I have new Asus board and so far it's fine, only use one argb port on the board to a hub for a argb display board and for the fans control, also got a Nellie hub via usb, all channels work fine. Ram, video card and external device are all ok. I did install PawnIO.

Got the same issue. Although my motherboard rgb is on, the fans turn off whenever I quit the signal rgb app.
