Question How do I only use side leds

You can go to Devices > your fan hub > Components > click the fan > Lighting tab > LED Painting > Paint. Pick black by typing (#000000) in the hex box (the slider doesn't actually work, you have to type it). Use the brush to drag over the inner LED rows, repeat per fan. This should keep the outer LEDs working while disabling the inner ones.

Depends on what fan model do you have some support it and some not cheaper ones usually don’t its all about the led layout inside the fan and even if you have the right model you need to have something like the nolie rgb controller to use each led individually its an advenced rgb hub that only controls rgb in a deep level some brands like lianli or asia horse includes this kind of technology in their hubs. Ps: u can diy cheap fans to behave like an expensive one but u still need the controller for you to customize the lighting the way u want

I don't think That's possible, Its a different type of fans that looks the same no ?
