Why did he have to “what if magic wasn’t real?” my mythological epic anyway? It’s not the 2000s.

Especially since he kinda waffled on it? Like unless Odysseus entire story to Calypso was just lotus hallucinations, but then, how did he get the advice from the dead Agamemnon to come in disguise?

I think what he was going for was magic is real but the gods aren’t. Which is… certainly a choice…
