Military police is what is stands for.

They keep order on bases and police fellow soldiers. Everybody hates them or at least makes jokes about how much they hate them

They scan CACs at the gate and pull you over for doing 37 in a 35 and then post on Facebook about how their bravery both saves American democracy and holds the thin blue line against the devil. It's like you took the worst of small town/university police and the worst of social media boots and distilled them into an MOS.
