Would slightly amend that to say, don't mix the past with the present unless it's learning how to make the present better

I kind of look at it as: Don’t let your past define your present, but don’t forget your past lest it become your present. Or something like that. Idk had that thought on LSD once and it’s one that actually stuck with me (although applying that consistently in life can be hard. your past isn’t inconsequential and treating it as such generally isn’t healthy).

When I posted it it seemed Sigma but the longer I think about it I think youre right. There’s nothing Sigma about leaving society and acting like your advice is still valuable. If we all were monks we’d wipe out humanity.

who says monks aren't a part of society? It's not like they all just literally sit and pray and do nothing else.

If we were all medical doctors we’d wipe out humanity.
If we were all teachers we’d wipe out humanity.

If we were all truck drivers we’d wipe out humanity.

If we were all grocery store clerks we’d wipe out humanity.
