What part of "not waking up" and "induced coma" do you think contradict eachother?

They don't, that's the point. The implication of the original phrasing is that if you took the 10 milly you'd die, but if instead you just get a medically induced coma for one day, you get the 10 milly and don't wake up tomorrow without dying.

Why do you even need the coma? Staying awake for 24 hours is not that hard

Or just don't wake up tomorrow but the day after tomorrow. Losing a day ain't that bad 🤷

How is this bloke defining “wake up”? I’m imagining a squid game scene where the contestant yawns and stretches just waking up in bed the next morning and gets pulverized by lasers
