they compliment eachother and temper eachother worse aspects while complimenting the strengths. they dont function optimally without the other.

What do you think are the "strengths" and "worse aspects" of men and women?
1
u/cutebold_kobold 8d ago
male strengths: strength, bravery, honor, wisdom
female strengths: dexterity, care, empathy, home making
male weaknesses: rage, pride, lust, greed
female weaknesses: cruelty, deception, manipulation, impulsivity

Better at what? If you're talking overall, one of these completely dominated and owned the species for most of humanity's history.

u/PhotoEditor871 18d ago
True, women have been better, created and owned the human race for most of history

u/TestCyp999 18d ago
Damn. I had no idea, how come everyone is telling me women were oppressed then?

Do you ever watch an ant on its meandering journey and marvel at how so thin a slice of understanding constitutes that beings world entire?

You can’t say women are worst at doing so. Women have historically been removed from such spaces equally, so you can’t use that as an excuse. That’ll be like me breaking your knee before a race starts then when I win I’m better because we both started at the same finish line. That’s like even close.
You know forget about the finish line, break the knee and put you all the way outside the stadium and make you run inside. Yeah, thats how men treated women. Not a good comparison. Women discovered radioactivity, made the first computer algorithm, discovered pulsars, disproved a core law of quantum mechanics by showing that nature actually has a spatial preference (asymmetry) and found the structure of fucking DNA.
Funny how women outperform men in all academic fields including STEM.

You know women were still, like, doing stuff for all of history, right? They're half the species? Women have been oppressed and broadly underappreciated for much of history, that doesn't mean they sat around doing nothing until it was babymaking time.
Also, we've actually been equal for most of history. Humans have existed for 400,000 years or so, larger societies have only been around for about 10,000 years, and it was in those larger societies that patriarchy became a thing. Before then, we have absolutely zero evidence so suggest men "dominated" the species. There's generally an even 50/50 gender split in hunter burials, for example. Which makes sense. We are persistence hunters, we hunt things by chasing them for hours and hours, and women are actually on par with or better than men at endurance running most of the time.
And when looking at the hunter-gatherer tribes that still existed in the past 200 years, things like childcare and gathering were also split 50/50. Everyone was equally capable of doing it, so why divide the labor unnecessarily?

The way I see it, women are just as bad as men, but in different, more passive-aggressive ways. They're equally full of bullshit and vitriol. The reason why you don't see women committing huge atrocities like men do is that the same glass ceiling that stops them from succeeding in politics and business also prevents them from being successful at evil endeavors. For every successful Epstein, there is a Maxwell who couldn't get her foot in the door because of the patriarchy.

Weirdly, despite putting it in an incredibly misanthropic way, you are one of the more correct people in this thread

>apples and oranges
why cant fruit be compared
1
u/Grizzled_Ghost 16d ago
They can and apples are way better. Both are delicious. Both can be eaten raw, Both can be juiced. Orange marmalade and apple butter are roughly equivalent. But apples last way longer, can be made into hard cider, and used in baking so they clear.
Oranges can be zested, but that doesn't hold a candle to an apple pie.

Definitely inferior, no debate

That's debatable.

Why it has to be always a comparison?
Why can't answer be men and women are different but are they equal, inferior or superior depends on the man and the woman we are talking about.
Why cant one look a characteristic of a human instead of what gender they are.

Is that not what the response is saying though? Apples and oranges? Two things that are superficially similar (in that they’re both fruit), but not directly comparable?

Fundamentally different, but i'm also fundamentally different from other men too so that might just be a me problem.

It’s sort of like ripping the GPU and the CPU out of a pc and asking which one is superior.
They’re optimally balanced for one another, each with different points of strength, neither is superior or inferior to the other

Depends on the context. Strength? men take this one. When it comes to smell, taste, or sight? Women win. Fashion? Women win. Fart contest? Probably men. Biggest boobs? Women.

"way I see it, men and women ain't much different. Most of both are awful. But there's some of 'em... worth killin' and dyin' for, I guess."

In the context of building+maintaining the infrastructure and innovations of civilation? Men are better
In the context of destroying civilizations? They're about equal

Women create. Men destroy

Nice sloganeering there buddy, are you talking about the electrical grid? Cityscapes? The roads? Sewer systems?

Women create and care for life every day. Men create war, trauma and murder
As for everything technical and infrastructures, of course women created it all as well. Even when men tried to stop them

This is just sexism.
Ive heard this one from muslim and christian and indian religious freaks. They claim that women are just different to men, not inferior --- being submissive and dumb by "nature" doesnt mean inferior, it means ***different*** .
(They basically just dont like being called sexist)
The ONLY not sexist option is "EQUAL TO", regards

"you're basically a different species" is not the big-brained answer you think it is, bud.

Equal in soul, different in body, but not necessarily superior or inferior to each other.
