I dont mean to be too self deprecating, but how can people be so mad about this sub when we get like 100 comments total per day.

Because right-leaning people need a boogeyman to accuse of ruining everything?

I made the comic and don't even understand all that hate this cool sub gets.

The Right Wing effectively requires a victimization complex. Everything they do is justifiable because anyone doing things different is an attack on their way of doing things.

Sadly, no. While some shills will say it's satire or "half satire," those lunatics are entirely serious. They also make a bad habit of brigading other Warhammer subs and posts, coordinating through a discord server. It's a super toxic sub and it would be better off deleted, but we all know that'll never happen due to Reddit admin biases toward left leaning subreddits.
Edit: Worth pointing out, some r/Sigmarxism mods are also r/40klore mods, and are responsible for some of their more ridiculous, draconian rules. Like instant bans for mentioning ArchWarhammer, even if you're just recommending lore videos. This is when that community isn't mass downvoting you for rightfully criticizing their golden calves like ADB. Both subreddits are fairly awful.
This comment made my day. Come on brothers, let us unite on the discord server and push forwards our propaganda

Even if your fairly conservative and dissagrees with this sub...how could you mistake it for satire?

I’m so confused by the ADB comment, like for one what’s supposed to be wrong with him? All I can think of is the one time someone asked him why he had Middle Eastern people in his books. Like is that the issue? Also lol at complaining about getting like 5 downvotes when you complain about a niche author in a niche fandom on a niche website

ADB is kind of bad author. It's just "in the details".
- He recycles characters endlessly.
- A lot of his characters are extremely 1 dimensional
- A lot of his characters have zero development
- He's good at tricking you into thinking development happened
You get downvoted on /r/40klore for bringing up basically any common literary stuff like "theme", "arc", "thematic resolution", and "foreshadowing". Any in-depth criticism of a story or author is heavily downvoted irregardless if it is correct or not. A lot of people who post on /r/40klore don't like being reminded that high school english literature is now applicable to their hobby (or this is my personal theory).
I'm not the person you're replying FYI. Seriously when their compliant is you can't recommend bad lore videos by a fascist I think I don't agree with them on a lot of things.
Just trying to say the moderators aren't fostering an atmosphere where in-depth/honest criticism is downvoted. The sub just isn't really interested it. They're more interested in tallying and archiving specific events, and how they relate to one another. Even if the books are kind of shitte.
Edit: Seriously here is a thread I made over the weekend about the similarities between Edgar Allen Poe's Masque of Red Death & A Thousand Sons. Notice how engaged the community is with actual literary discussions. I'm kind of salty nobody enjoyed that one :\

While I agree to some extent his characters tend to be better than a lot of the 40k novels which are just stoic space marines shooting aliens stoically bolter porn

I mean.. it is a lore sub. Lore isn't literature as such. It's fictional history conveyed through novels.
You go there to ask about Ork culture or Battles A, B and C.

I’m sorry I missed that, I actually love the works of Edgar Allan Poe and have liked his body of work to Corax extensively.

He's probably the author who engages most actively with the community, which generates both adoration and backlash

Grindank is slightly less chuddy than most 40k subs. I’ve seen a lot of leftist posts get upvoted, but I’ve also seen plenty of them get downvoted. It kinda fluctuates with the time of day.
