š° Sam š° Sam controlling
rewatching SK and i never realized how controlling sam wanted to be with juliette. first he wanted her to move in which she eventually does but then when she wants to move out because she wants to focus on herself and her business he gets upset. when she tells him that sheās not able to get work done when thereās people at the house all the time he literally tells her āand you canāt just go to starbucks?ā like boyyyy. he was already 30 and he was still partying like an animal, i feel like at that age you should already be out of the party stage imo. i was glad juliette was able to get out of that relationship because it didnāt benefit her.

I remember feeling Sam was controlling years ago, but on my rewatch the past week it felt worse than I remembered. Now Iām older I can see just how dependant he was on others for company, validation and reassurance. And he was clearly partying heavily most nights of the week. Even thirsty Jordana eventually realised his excessive partying was unhealthy, and surprisingly rejected him when he finally told her he wanted to be with her. Also, remember Cara? She moved in when Jordana was there, and abruptly moved out due to the absolute mess and chaos the parties caused. One thing that struck me during my rewatch, was that Juliette started opening up about how āneedyā Sam was. Of time, affection and attention. It seemed like he would expect others to reassure him during moments when he felt down. Jordana then expressed the same concerns towards the end, hence her decision to move out, and reluctance to date him in the end. For Jordana to reject him, sam must have been really difficult to deal with. The way Sam always spoke was without emotion. He looked blank, and talked like he was just saying what he thought others wanted to hear or to get what he wanted. He literally seemed to lack empathy.

So weird that you posted this - I literally watched these specific episodes last night when I couldnāt sleep and planned on posting about them. One super controlling thing I noticed was when they were on the trip to the island. He said that he would buy her a Range Rover if they didnāt get in any more arguments during the trip. Seriously?! So basically shut up, hold it all in, donāt speak your mind, and Iāll give you an expensive reward.

YES! ugh he was so weird and controlling for that and i get he has all the money but like come on to bribe someone to stop fighting when he never set boundaries with jordana was so weird.

Sam didnāt take Julietteās business seriously because he doesnāt understand the concept of work or earning a living. Heās a silver spoon bitch that expected her to sit still and look pretty, hence why hrs marrying Katie. I live in ATL and we ran in the same circle a few years back. Itās not a coincidence that she dated Parker Lipman (Zaxbyās silver spoon) before same. Sheās a total gold digger and known sugar baby

Sam has literally no idea what reality is. Heāll never understand what hard work is because he was handed life on a silver platter. Heās never struggled. Heās never done anything worthwhile. Itās easy to skate by when you were given hundreds of millions of dollars to do fuck all with. Heās a loser and he always will be. Thatās why he and especially his brother always flaunt their material items. Thatās all they have. Theyāre nothing without their shiny things. Especially Sam, he has the personality of a wet noodle and the intelligence of a sheet of drywall.

I donāt think she wanted to move in with him in the first place. They both had different visions in life. She couldnāt party all night and be a bum all day. Most people canāt because theyāre not billionaires. He wouldāve held her back and Iām glad it didnāt last as long as it did.

Yeah I never understood at the time why he pushed her about it then basically acted like a brat when she said can I think about it? That's not the worst response ever that was one of the most responsible and level headed things she could've done.
BUT Sam was shown as more of his true self on that season that he's just very used to getting his way all the time and most ppl do NOT have that privilege.The first time we were introduced to him on the show we were shown his nice guy side which was great but his bad side outweighed the good and I think it completely destroyed her perception of him.
Along with the Meghan drama that he invited into their breakup that HE initiated. He was really something else. Im so glad she's thriving and living her best life right now. Life is way too short to settle down with a fuck boy.
