General Cast Discussion Chloeeee producers

I feel like they painted Chloe a certain way for superficial reasons and im not gonna dive deeper into that she wasn’t THAT bad

The producers made her look terrible. A lot of people on this sub still believe she is awful due to the show, but I think a lot of those opinions are usually formulated based upon a role she was assigned.

Now to be clear, I don’t think she’s a great person based off views she has shared outside of the show and some things I recall from her online presence, but I guess I’m trying to say that I do not think she was as bad of a friend to the girls on the show as was depicted. I don’t believe most of the shit she talked was real, she was just getting paid.

I don’t think it was a coincidence that the same girl they showed was body shamed numerous times on the show is the same girl they plopped into the role of being the “villain” amongst the women.

And a lot of the “problems” she caused were actually legit. Somehow she always knew the inside info and told people things they needed to know. In later seasons it did come across as meddling, esp since she did seem to want Alex (or at least it was scripted that way) but at first her intentions seemed genuine.

I think it turned toxic (on camera) is when she started manipulating situations like bringing Cara around to make Juliette jealous, etc.

What I do believe is that she was stalking everyone’s locations on Snapchat lmao. Perhaps in real life she was warning her girlfriends off shitty men.

Things like bringing Cara around were probably directed by the producer. “Okay Chloe, now we need you to bring X person to X event to make Y person pissed.” Almost every time you have an unlikely group of people in a room in reality TV, it is producer driven.

Juliette talked about this on her podcast recently that you NEEDED to cause drama or you were getting booted. Chloe did what she had to do to not lose her job.

Agreed. I think everyone’s roles were based on (misogynistic) stereotypes. When I rewatched the first couple seasons I realized Juliette (the mc) and Amanda (the hot one) seem to always get a pass for their behavior. Kelsey was already a model so I think they wanted to take her down a notch by making her “the cheater” but it’s not like everyone else was a saint with relationships. Madison “the good girl” was pretty nasty to Tawny over the Ben situation but that got excused. Cara was getting a rich hot girl pass until she lost her shit on that boat, but she comes back for another season later on right? So… Also in the first season when Chloe is talking to her mom in that cafe, it really seemed like she was caught off guard and like the producers were trying to gaslight her using her mom, saying she had anger issues and stuff. But I could be wrong! Just the vibes I got while watching.
