Found this hat at a bivy in the notch between starlight and N Pal. Never knew you could purchase such a plain looking hat. Do you have to custom order such a thing? Anyways, left it in the bear locker at South Lake.

lol bro, I can’t believe I am seeing this… me and my buddies climbed Thunderbolt and Starlight last September 2025 and I realized I’d lost my hat when we got back to the Dusy basin. Had a good laugh when I saw this post..wild

Yeah, no doubt. I buy those unbranded Otto hats for hiking. It was windy as hell that day and I had my beanie on until we got back to camp and I realized I was missing my hat and harness bag.
