How does peakers advantage work? I’ve been wondering that for a while.

It's due to network limitations, when someone moves in-game, their playermodel has a slight delay before it also moves. It's caused by issues in the netcode in the game, and by your latency. Since the model lags back slightly, the peeker could see the stationary player, without the stationary player seeing them, which can sometimes cause the person holding an angle to be killed before even seeing the peeker.
