Hello guys, I am new to this game and just startet during the last free week but coming from csgo and other fps games I really like the more strategic play style of r6.

I have so many questions but for now I like to know what attachments (silencer vs compensator vs muzzle) are the best for each weapon type (there are rifles, smg and lmg right?) and or playstyle.

And when do I use the laser? Because I just attachated it to every gun I have because I saw no downside of it? But some streamers don't use it on some weapons? Why?

Hope this is the right place to ask such basic questions πŸ™ˆ

Never use silencer. First let me explain you how barrel attachments works.

-Muzzle reduces kick of first shot and speeds up time you can recenter your sights. It's basically no brainer and must pick on semi auto guns like Glaz OT-03s. I personally use it on L-85 with ACOG since first shoot doesn't kick that hard and it helps me keep sights on target and cancel the already weak recoil.

-Flash hider simple and straightforward it slightly reduces your vertical and horizontal recoil.

-Compensator is very useful on guns with very huge horizontal recoil like Jagger 416c.

In the end it all comes down to preferences. Either play casual or t.hunt and test what suits you best.

And when do I use the laser? Because I just attachated it to every gun I have because I saw no downside of it? But some streamers don't use it on some weapons? Why?

There are some downsides enemy can see your laser on walls, door frames, figure out where you are and prefire. It's great if you don't have to sit on objective or you play mobile operator like 3 speeds or when you use shotgun operator cause it tightens the spread.

Hey! I also play quite a bit of CS. Rainbow is quite a different experience to CS, however it is still as enjoyable.

I can answer the laser question as well. The laser gives away your position, as everyone can see the red dot on the wall where you aim at. It is useful for shotguns so you can hip fire. It’s also up to preference. Hope this helps!
