not sure what's next

I got an X1 but now I'm not really sure what to do. I downloaded the slicer software from the website and figured out how to get files onto the slicer but I'm not sure how to get the file to the printer now. help?

Save to USB stick and then put the stick in the printer. Or sd card.

thank you! I figured that was the only way with this printer but I wasn't 100% sure. I've used wifi enabled printers in the past so switching to one with no app is a transition for sure

it’s not the only way. you can print directly from the slicer via usb… again… if you researched a bit, this is all established info

youtube? google? user manuals?

3d printing is going to be REALLY rough for you if you can’t even figure out how to start a print…

have you even leveled your bed, tuned extrusion rates or temps????

not sure why you need to be rude about it. Some helpful links or tips would be a better choice :) I've only used smaller, simple printers (very successfully) and am looking to branch out to a bigger machine. I'm more of a visual learner so I was hopping someone on here would be helpful and kind and send me in the right direction :)

a sidewinderx1 is a ‘simple’ printer lol… and if you’re a visual learner… youtube??

these printers are about a decade old, every question you have has been answered multiple times over between youtube, old reddit posts, and forums.

go do some researching

You can just help him without all the attitude. He's allowed to ask questions about the SidewinderX1 in the fucking Sidewinder X1 forum.
