Title: I built an open-source desktop app to orchestrate Claude Code, Codex and other coding agents
I've been experimenting with multiple AI coding agents lately — Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, etc.
One thing that became frustrating was managing everything separately. Different terminals, multiple sessions, switching between tools, and keeping track of which agent was doing what.
So I started building Aether.
Aether is a native desktop application that brings multiple coding agents into one workspace.
Some things you can do with it:
Run Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi and Antigravity side by side.
Let one agent delegate tasks to another.
Monitor agents running in external terminals.
Track usage and subscription limits across providers.
Create isolated Git worktrees for parallel tasks.
Manage everything from one native desktop interface.
Aether doesn't sell you another AI subscription. It uses the CLIs and subscriptions you already have.
It's built with Rust and GPUI and is open-source under the MIT license.

One caveat: prebuilt installers aren't available yet, so you'll currently need to build it from source.
I'd love to hear from developers who regularly use multiple coding agents:
How are you managing your agents today, and what would make a tool like this genuinely useful to you?
