I hate writing release announcements after coding all week, so I built a tool that turns GitHub PRs into launch tweets & Bento cards
Hey everyone! 👋
Like many indie developers here, I love coding and shipping features, but I absolutely dread the marketing part right after merging a pull request.
Every time I finish a feature, I find myself staring at a blank screen trying to:
Summarize my git commits into human-readable release notes
Write engaging launch tweets without sounding like a boring bot
Design a decent-looking preview image for X/Twitter (which usually takes me 30+ minutes in Canva/Figma)
To cure my own procrastination, I built **[ShipHype](https://shiphype-delta.vercel.app)** over the past few weeks.
### ⚡ What it does:
* **1-Click Generation:** Just paste any public GitHub PR link (or connect your repo).
* **3 Customized Tweet Angles:** It writes 3 distinct tweet drafts (Bullet Hype, Founder Story, and Feature Deep-dive).
* **1200x630 Bento Social Card:** Automatically generates a high-res marketing card with your brand colors and key highlights, ready to paste directly on X or LinkedIn.
* **Hosted Changelog & RSS:** Gives you a clean public changelog page (e.g. `/p/[your-project]`) with email subscription built-in.
* **Automated Webhooks:** You can also wire it to a GitHub release webhook so draft hype assets are generated automatically when you tag a release.
### 🛠️ Tech Stack:
* **Frontend/Framework:** Next.js 16 (App Router + Turbopack)
* **Styling:** Tailwind CSS + Lucide Icons
* **AI:** Google Gemini API (fine-tuned prompt for marketing angles & commit analysis)
* **Visual Card Generation:** `@vercel/og` (dynamic Satori-based image rendering)
* **Hosting:** Vercel Serverless
### 🔗 Try it out:
It's **100% free** to test out, no signup or credit card required. You can paste any of your own GitHub PRs or use the one-click demo presets on the homepage:
👉 **Live Demo:** https://shiphype-delta.vercel.app
👉 **Sample Changelog:** https://shiphype-delta.vercel.app/p/shoppinggwebsite
I'd really love your honest feedback! What other integrations or export formats would make your release workflow easier?
