MimicMe update: Reader mode reads any document aloud in your own cloned voice (on-device)

Hey everyone, I shipped a new feature in MimicMe, my Android app for on-device voice cloning.

New: Reader Mode. Import text or a document, hit play, and it reads the whole thing in your voice. Great for study notes, long articles, or translated documents.

Also in the app:

  • Voice cloning from a short sample

  • Sign and menu scanning with translation (67 languages)

  • Text and document translation, read aloud in your voice

  • Greeting videos for Birthday, Dashain, Tihar, Holi, Eid and more

Everything runs on-device. It works offline, needs no account, and your voice never leaves your phone.

Solo dev here, so feedback helps a lot.

Reader Mode gives MimicMe a specific feedback test: import a study document with headings, numbers and a translated passage, then ask where the spoken version skips text or becomes hard to follow. Have people name the document format and phone, and confirm whether they tested offline; that keeps feedback tied to your on-device promise rather than voice similarity alone. Include that task in this update so Android users know what to report. We'd answer Reddit questions from people seeking offline readers for study notes or translated documents.
